I nodded, continuing to walk forward slowly. "Yeah, good meals are hard to come by when you're on the streets." I agreed, smelling something good near by. I sensed a food stand, but I can't read what's on the board, since I only really get outlines, not colors and writing. "Hey, do you know what that is?" I asked, stopping momentarily to let Avani catch up to me.

personality ➸ maylin is compassionate, brave, clever, courageous, quick-witted, and confident. She always seems to able to come up with a plan to get out of the trouble she gets into and she isn't afraid to get dirty. She rarely shows her fear, since she considers it a weakness to show emotions in battle. She is very compassionate and caring to those she loves and cares abut, in this case being her pet moose lion. Maylin has outstanding courage and bravery, always being confident in her known abilities. Due to living as an orphan for the past two years, she has developed a few bad attitudes. She is often rude and impatient, primarily so that she hides her weaknesses. She never accepts anyone help because of this. One thing that hasn't changed is her stubborn and strong-willed mind.
history ➸ Maylin's mother left her and her father when Maylin was only four years old; therefore she barely remembers her. After that, Maylin was raised by only her father. Her father took good care of her and ended up teaching her earth-bending. When Maylin was five years old her father gave her a sabre-toothed moose lion as a pet. She named the cub Ekta and they soon became inseparable friends. Maylin lived a happily with her father and moose lion, learning all the basics of earth-bending and becoming fairly good at it, extending from the basics of bending. She has even learned a little about metal and sand bending, but not much. But of course, all good things come to an end. Two years ago, her father was murdered. He had gone out to the market one evening and never returned. He was later reported dead for an unknown reason. Although, Maylin knew it was just a mysterious death. She knew he was murdered; her main supporting detail being that he was a wealthy man. She was supposed to be put into her mother's custody, but she said that she'd rather die. She instead ran away with Ekta and no lives alone, traveling the globe with no real place to call home other than on her moose-lion's back.

flaws ➸ she is blind in her left eye, she can be cocky at times, can be rude, although she know earth-bending she's not the best at it, she can be easily offended, she often will try to avoid attention from others, she gets angry when people offer her help.

pet ➸ Maylin's pet is a female saber-tooth moose lion named Ekta. Maylin has had Ekta since she was 5 years old. Ekta was a year old cub when Maylin's father found her, abandoned because she was a runt. Since then Maylin has raised the predator to be a very affectionate and cuddly creature. Although Ekta was raised well, she can still be extremely aggressive, vicious, and dangerous. That is, if you threaten or hurt her owner. Ekta wears a large custom saddle over her haunches as well as a custom bridle. She carries all of Maylin's things, which is no problem for a seven-foot tall beast, even though she is a runt among other saner-tooth moose lions.

literacy ➸ my literacy ranges depending on how much time I have, whether or not a feel like writing a lot, and how much detail whoever I'm role-playing with has included. I always try to write between 2-3 detailed sentences, but that can sometimes increase to 20+ lines. When I am role-playing "by myself" my posts are generally much longer, decreasing in length once my character encounters someone else.
activeness ➸ I am on CS every single day, for at least an hour. Although, this does not guarantee that I will be active on here. If I am included well and I am constantly having something to do in the role-play, I will be active.

She also always wears a dark green cape with a cold button on it. the cape is pictured above. She is blind in her left eye, which is why it is covered; it is a clouded white instead of an emerald green. the scar on her left jaw line is from when Ekta was little and accidentally scratched Maylin.

"Isha, dear," Mom called. "Coming," I said. I finished putting my hair up in a half bun and slid a red holder over it before walking to the kitchen. "Yes?" I asked, leaning against the doorway. "Will you go get me some carrots?" my mom requested. "Sure," I said. I picked up a basket next to the back door and knelt in our garden. It's right next to some woods, but I couldn't see anything as the sun was going down. Anyone could have been there, and I still wasn't used to attacking yet. Self-defense, I could do, but not just straight out attacking. I shook the thought out of my head and pulled some carrots out of the ground before walking back inside.

I stood within the trees, frustrated and out of breathe. I had finally found the chance to get away from my family, from my fathers angry eyes and my brothers hatred. But i was lost, alone, and......dead if i didnt find a place to be and someone to be with. Everyone hated me, hated me because they hated my family. I didnt have to do anything to them, just existing was enough. And being able to weild fire, and have very little control of it still, sad as i was to admit it, made me a definite threat. I continued among the trees, moving quickly, my long ponytail flowing behind me with my skirt as i did so. Finally, running became too much. I had to take a break. I sat on a rock and caught my breathe, rubbing my aching bare feet as i did so. I wasnt far from home, but barely cared. i heard a noise and my attention turned to it, seeing the opening in the trees, but i couldnt make out who it was. i was too tired to focus.

I followed her and shook my head " no, but it smells good. meat? like, kebobs or something? it smells good, though anything sounds good right now." i admitted " but i can hear knives, people chattering, popping like the oils on a pan? "

Suddenly, I froze. I could've sworn I heard a rustle in the woods. I almost passed it off as an animal, but it didn't sound like anything I'd ever heard. I turned and cautiously walked towards the woods. I could see a shadow, darker than all the other ones, but a little brighter too. I put the basket down, having almost completely forgot about it, and continued until I could see a more definitive outline.

I watched as they got closer and stood up, backing up against a tree, my eyes wide in worry and fear. " p-leease." i stammered " i-i'm sorry i didnt mean to impose. i got lost. i just...i just ran." i shook my head and chewed my lip, keeping my hands on the tree. i could feel it getting warmer and if i wasnt careful i would light the place up. or the tree.
