Legolas continued onward, but as minutes lapsed on he came to a stop, hand grabbing onto a branch above him to halt his momentum. His eyes narrowed as he glanced about. "Something's not right. We should have seen signs of them by now. They've moved. Find a trail, we'll follow it." He dropped downward to a lower branch, one hand itching closer to his bow. This didn't sit right with him.

Spiders poured forth from the opening they had finally made in the Elven kingdom. Screams soon followed, with the sounds of bows being fired and swords meeting flesh. In a span of seconds there were overwhelming numbers of the giant arachnids in the Mirkwood kingdom. Although Thranduil had already encountered one, two more were creeping up the sides of the throne room to kill the Elven king.

Gilbert ducked his head to step into the room, red eyes ghosting over the female elf as he did so. "They're stranger than I am. They don't even reach my waist half of them." He muttered, shaking his head. "There's three of you? I thought this was supposed to be a company of dwarves for a Dwarven kingdom. Where are they all?" Gilbert then asked, raising an eyebrow.

Basch Zwingli (Switzerland)

Basch dropped to the ground from the tree limb he had been crouched on and looked around, searching for any sign that the spiders might have been there. Tracks, crushed leaves, fresh cobwebs, anything would be useful. He paused as if considering something, then pulled himself to the branches above him. The spiders typically traveled by the trees, after all. He poked around the canopy for a few more minutes before his eyes caught something odd. "Over here!" he called to the rest of the group, straightening in front of a thin trail of broken tree branches.

Viktor had retreated behind Bilbo, who was rather silent and confused on what to do, choosing to glare at Gandalf for not telling him there would be a meeting in his own home. The elf felt sorry for the poor Hobbit. "Odd indeed," he said, eyes narrowed at the man. He tried his best not to show how much the man's red eyes startled him.

The young elf looked back and forth between the elf and the man, confused as to why Viktor was suddenly hiding behind the hobbit. When he looked back at Gilbert, Jaried leaned away a bit, noticing his red eyes. Ok... Maybe that was why...

Shaking his head, Gandalf pondered on how late the dwarves were. "Do not glare at me, Blibo
Baggins, I had tried to tell you but you did not listen." His voice was gruff and strict as he
nodded his head at the hobbit, remembering the day's morning.

The small elven girl wasn't phased by anything about the man "Yes.. I do wonder where they are..
I think we're assistance." Her head nodded a greeting to him with a smile. "Well, they are hobbits!"
Her voice was kind and gentle as she stepped out of his way.

[oooh okay I read through most of this I just have to get caught up on the last couple of pages...oohh ooh can I please reserve Bilbo and Tauriel? ^-^ I promise I won't quit on you but I'm going to be honest: there are some days where I'm very busy, and on top of that my parents sometimes don't let me use electronics on the first week of every month (except for this week, which seems to be an exception because of winter break...) So if you guys don't want me to have very major characters because of that, I understand and I can just be one of the Dwarves instead of Bilbo, since he's kind of essential to the plot. I would still very much like to be Bilbo though....<:3]

P e r s o n a l i t y Bilbo never thought he was the "adventuring type..." He was one for tea and quiet nights by the fire, not dragon-slaying. His Shire-bred homeliness may at first seem ill-suited for a quest to the Lonely Mountain, but in actuality, sometimes that small Hobbit can make a big difference. He's not really used to running around fighting goblins and trolls yet, but don't fret - he'll grow into it. More or less.
A p p e a r a n c e Bilbo, being a Hobbit, is obviously shorter than any Elf or Man; he goes barefoot, and there's an abundance of hair growing on those feet of his. He has brown, curly hair, green eyes, and often a robe or a button-up coat of some kind.

P e r s o n a l i t y Despite her king Thranduil's insistence that the Mirkwood Elves protect their own, Tauriel feels a sense of duty to help others where she can. She has a difficult time standing idly by while darkness is allowed to grow, and will not tolerate it if it can be helped. Although she kills passionately on the battlefield, she can be gentle when a situation calls for it.
A p p e a r a n c e Tauriel sports long red hair and brown eyes. She is often seen in her long green dress, her leggings, and her brown boots. As with all Elves, her ears are pointed.
