I noted the paint on his jeans. So, a paint splatter, then. Or not, since I had paint on my hands and certainly wasn't a rebel.
"Still, the colour red could get you arrested," I replied, with a shrug. "Not that I'm complaining."

the paint splatter grinned. "turn it inside out, the color's a good-lookin' gray," he said without looking at the boy that was speaking to him. he began to paint the outline of what would become his own personal design of a cyber-dog robot; one that resembled a toy his parents had bought him once, but with a lot of upgrades. among those upgrades? blasters, grenades and the ever-cliché laser eyes.

How was I meant to react to that? "How? Do you live around here or...?" I tried to keep suspicion and discomfort out of my voice but I struggled to do so. I wasn't so much suspicious that Dean would follow me home of his accord. What annoyed me was it was likely my dad who would put him up to it, if that was what was going on. I knew my dad was over protective and I could understand that but that would be a step too far. I wouldn't put it past him either to have his officers watch me go to and from places 'just in case' something were to happen. I was furious at the though but the only sign I let though was my slightly clenched fists, I still kept up my smile and positive demeanor. If something like that were going on it wouldn't be Deans fault so he wouldn't deserve to be caught i the cross fire of my fury, I didn't even know if something like that was going on so I was getting ahead of myself.

I scratched the back of my neck and shook my head a little. "No I don't live in your neighbourhood," I replied carefully, glancing over at her. "I've got my own apartment further down," I added, silently noting her fists tightened up, debating whether I should just leave my answer to close this conversation or try to ease the tension a little more. There was a risk in doing this, however. Trying to say more may make the situation more uncomfortable. Finally sighing, I shrugged a little. "I guess I just get around"

I laughed before pouring a few more cups of hot coco. One for me, one for Lyssa, and a few more for any other lucky Paint Splatters that wanted one. I leaned back on hte counter, and continued to tease her.
" Oh come on, hawkward is a classic. My puns are amazing. Toucan tell Quail, and even she would agree that they are Swanderful!" I replied with a deviled grin. That will have to be enough puns for today. I glanced at Sparrow smiling behind her hot chocolate. mission accomplished.
Suddenly, I felt my phone vibrate in my pocket. I pulled it out and grinned at the message.
"Looks like we might have some fun tonight, Sparrow,"
