Malik saw Death. He trotted over and sat by him. He let out a yawn. "So what is happening today, Death?" he asked.

Death's eyes drooped and he looked over at him "I think we're going to a lab building or something to spy on the humans" death said. "I don't really know though, you should go over to the alpha..."

Malik nodded thoughtfully. "Thanks. I don't really care for the specifics." He lay down on the ground and put his head between his outstretched paws. Eager to get going and to do something.

"Oh, me too" Death said lookiing at him funny "I can't remember you, are you new here?" he said.

"Yeah. I am. Just got here." He lifted his head from his paws. "I heard rumors about this pack and decided to take a look." He looked around. "Its nice."

"Hmm..." Death said "Our pack is... I don't know, it always dies but this time it's staying alive. Most of the shadow beasts killed all the wolves before...." he said looking at the sky

His ears perked up, "Shadow beasts? You mean we can fight!" He hopped to his paws. "How big are they?!" he said, wagging his tail, his eyes bright.

"Ya, of course you can fight, or else you will die" he said "but I haven't seen them latley since we moved to the city away from our pack grounds, I guess the humans keep them out." he said still looking up at the sky

Malik smiled. "Always knew humans were good for somethin' " he stood up. "I am Malik by the way. I was told your name was Death." He tilted his head to the side. "Kinda morbid name, don't you think?"

"Ya, it sorta is. How did you know my name?" death said
