Darlka saw Yara crouched over Dark and trotted to him. "What's happened?"

Dark didn't answer, but he slowly and shakily tried to stand up instead. He almost fell back down, but Luke helped him up before he had the chance to. "Let's go." He sounded like nothing had happened. He didn't want everyone to see him as a helpless weakling anymore, he had to keep on going...His wounds were stinging horribly and his pads were bleeding, but he didn't take any notice either.

While all this was going on, a female dog ran past everyone and picked up a big pheasant that had just been shot down. She was a brittany spaniel and had beautiful shiny fur, and also a nice pink collar around her neck with a small bone tag. She turned to run back to her master, when she spotted Merr. Wow...He's...No, no. You're a pet dog. You can't like wolves! She carried on going until she was with her master again and dropped the bird.
"Clever girl." The human praised her, then took the dead bird and stuffed it in to his bag. "Let's go."
The dog followed her master towards the forest, but looked over her shoulder at Merr again as she went...I'm sure I've seen him before. It was a while ago, but I remember it. Weird...

Merr cocked his head as he watched the she-dog run past with the pheasant. Shaking his head, he looked back at the others, frowning. "What are we going to do?" He sighed and looked at each in turn, his expression changing to blank. He didn't even know Dark and he had practically given him the pack, what was he to do?
