Sharpstar's tail flicked thoughtfully. "How about you stay in our clan for... lets say... fove days. If you like it and we think you're good enough, we'll let you in. And if not... you wont be allowed here ever again."

Cheetahpaw meowed,"im going to get a bit closer."

lionflare was out hunting for his clan. but, truthfully, he wanted to see hazelpaw. hopefully she would be out collecting herbs or something beside the border. there was little chance, but he went anyway. he trotted close to the border, a few fox-lengths away from it.

Hazelpaw finished wrapping up the herbs she had collected. The medicine cat apprentice looked up. Maybe, by chance, she'd get to see Lionflare.... she hadn't seen him since Sharpstar came to the clans. Hazelpaw trotted to the river, only to see across from her was Cheetahpaw and Lightpaw of MoonClan. Her tail flicked in a wave, if they had seen her before she trotted in the other direction. Maybe Lionflare would be this way.

lionflare's amber eyes caught a glimpse of a familiar pelt. as the cat came closer, lionflare recognized her. "hazelpaw!" he whispered, trying not to draw attention of any other cat that might be out here. they hadn't seen each other in a while and he missed her.

As Hazelpaw traveled the length of the border, it was hard for her to distinguish one scent from another. The wind wasn't blowing toward her, so if she ran into trouble, things could get ugly. As she walked, pretending not to look at the MoonClan side of the border and instead on her own for herbs, a familiar voice quietly called her name. The she-cat's gray ears perked up as she spotted Lionflare's golden pelt and after a quick scent and glance around she dashed over. "Lionflare!" Hazelpaw called, hazel eyes glowing with excitement and love.

"I really do," she said quietly. "I just hope..." she trailed off, casting another sideways glance his way.

- - - - - Nodding to her clanmate the she-cat slight shrugged her shoulders, "The worst thing he can do is say no." Was the only advice Littlestep had to give and it pained her to give it. Keeping a secret and trying not to play with another's heart were hard to do when they tied together. The fae couldn't imagine if Tigerfang were to just say it'd all been a joke and he'd never loved her at all. Attempting to push away the evil thoughts, she focused on Foxcloud, "I know we aren't close but don't get your hopes too high or they'll never raise for anything again." Littlestep's second piece of advice was easier to give, it'd been the same advice given to her by her father when she didn't know being the runt would hold her back.
