Samantha yawned as she strolled down the hallways. She would check back on her class no and then but her note remained with no answer and no living soul to be found. Then she saw the stairs and wondered. She ran towards them and when she was maybe...3 stories up she saw a door with the word 'KRYSHA' on it. One of the few words Samantha knew in Japanesse. She smiled as she opened the door to vibrant cool wind that whipped her hair around her face. She was on the roof. She went to the edge and sat down letting her legs swing back and forth. She stared out across the campus whatching birds that fly by and animals that creep and crawl near.

Valentine shot Yami a look of annoyance as she vanished, rolling his eyes and muttering a few swears under his breath as he trudged up the stairs towards his next class. His classroom was easily located and already half-full when he entered and, despite him not being the latest student to arrive, the teacher shot him a dirty look and motioned impatiently to a desk. He only sneered in response and made his way over as slowly as he could.

Samantha soon began practicing her powers there on the roof. Learning to control them and such. She began to have a thought so she tried it out on a bird. She made the wind slice it's body to pieces, blood showered down upon Samantha and her clothes. She cursed at the blood but thanked that most of her uniform was black. She walked back down stairs to the rest room and began to wash it off but you could still see blood smears on her face. It was mainly on her upper cheek so she covered it with her hand and went to the classroom but all was still the same. So she began to walk to the cafeteria.

Embry and Kana took their birds to their shoulders and walked away from the tree. The shell was in Kana's pocket, where neither would try get it, and she had both hands in her back pockets as they walked. Embry was sulking a little after her plan backfired, so they walked silently towards the main building in almost silence. Twenty crows and magpies flew beside and above them, talking to them about random things like the on-coming weather and news from around campus. foreign birds didn't talk to them much. Only their closer birds would bring news from outside, and only by request. One crow dropped down close to Embry and cawed close to her ear, "There are some strange people here... stranger then the rest of you. You should find them. It might be a good idea. Maybe..." It soared up high and away before she could even open her mouth. Slowly she turned to Kana, "These birds get weirder and weirder by the week." Kana just shrugged and drummed her thumbs in her jeans, a soft but somehow the loudest thing Embry could here. With a small start she realized they had walked up to and along the wall of the main school building, headed towards the less used side of the school. "To the room?" Kana nodded, "Yeah. To get away from them." She nodded towards the birds lining the roof above as they flew or hopped with them. They had stopped cawing and crying... for now.
