---Kasugami is a somewhat energetic pup, though she is also intelligent. She won't act without thinking, which may cause trouble in critical situations, but she is a skilled strategist and makes decisions well, so that many of her age will look up to her. She is very eager to learn, and she can read and write in Japanese as well as English due to her nature. However, whenever she is proven wrong by someone she underestimates, she will get moody, and tends to lash out every now and then for days after.

---although she isn't quite friendly and is more of a boss, she can act like a caring family member even though she is quite young.
---Kasugami will always act her best around her mother and would never do anything to displease her, much unlike her brother. She will always listen to Inku and is closer to her than she is close to Geoff, for many reasons. One, they share the same type of paint: ink. Two, she always believed that a mother's words were law and she had to live by them. Three, she is wary of her brother, and thinks that he's picked up habits from their dad.
---the pup doesn't do much when it comes to life with her father, and she isn't really into games anyway. But when Geoff tells her off, especially regarding her attitude, she will listen, although she doesn't usually follow his words.
---she is somewhat fond of her cousin Soleil, who is a favorite among the rest of her cousins.

---a lava lamp. this she received from a trip with her parents one day, and to this day she hones and treasures it well. even over the few short years she's lived as a youngster, she still greatly enjoys watching the bubbly light of the lamp as it goes up and down.

---Hayazo is generally a thief. he may be young, but he's got his future pretty much set out for him, or so he thinks. he's stealthy, quick-witted, and lightning on his feet. Hayazo will steal anything he finds even slightly valuable, with no regard to whoever possesses said item. his glowing paint doubles as help when he needs to navigate in dark places, and when he needs to hide, he will conceal his tail in dark-colored cloth. cloth he stole, of course.

family relations ;;
---mostly a nuisance to his family members, pretty much nobody wants to spend time with mischievous little Hayazo. however, there are a few exceptions, mainly his mother, Inku.
---at best, Inku tries to rebuke Hayazo time and time again. she calls him in, tells him to stop his habit of stealing, but Hayazo never listens, causing her to ignore him. although, she does threaten to take away his prized possession, which drives Hayazo further away from his mother.
---another family member who's got a different story would be his cousin, Stelluna. Hayazo finds her to be a fun playmate, and they tend to spend nights outside and away from home, guided by little more than their glowing paint. Hayazo enjoys her company.
---Hayazo never was too fond of his mother, but his father? that's different. Geoff cares more for his son, although he doesn't agree with his stealing habit either. Hayazo never steals from Geoff, as he respects his father as it is.
---Kasugami doesn't agree with her brother either, but she doesn't do anything to stop him from stealing. after all, she has other things to worry about.

---a lantern, Hayazo's most prized possession is one of the few things he didn't steal; instead, it was given to him by his father. it's nothing special, just a regular Chinese lantern, but it means the world to Hayazo. he doesn't know why himself, but he tends to feel very attached to the lantern. due to his mother's constant threats of removing the lantern, it's always moving, always changing positions. one night it's on his bed, the other it's hung on the front porch. Hayazo moves it right before he goes to bed, hoping his mother won't notice until the next morning.
