I've always called em that- I don't know if there's a different name for them (?) but it's where you get a time limit and a prompt, and in that time you can compete to get more words.

I've been well trained. At school we do these things a lot. I always got like way higher than the state on my scores- like you just get a prompt out of nowhere and have timed writing. It's fun
