This is a place to discuss Lucid dreams. Please keep child friendly.
Lucid dreaming is: a dream state in which one is conscious enough to recognize that one is in the dream state. people who get good enough at this, can actually change the outcome of their dreams!
Share tips, and dreams you've had recently.
I just started getting onto basic lucidity a couple days ago, but I get so excited that the dream vaporizes, and I wake up with a jolt. Ever happen to you, have any advice?

Oh, silly me, I forgot to put the definition...I edited the main post thing, and added the definition in there.
I don't think what you experienced was exactly lucid dreaming, but waking up with a jolt happens to me a lot when I'm waking up from my lucid dreams. Maybe you could try lucid dreaming, it's really fun:)

Oh ok, I don't really change the outcome, but I often times make it up as I go. It's strange though. Thanks for putting the definition by the way.

last night I tried the WBTB method, and repeated over and over what I wanted to lucid dream about before I went to bed, I had the same characters in my dream that I had wanted, but the scenery was different, and I didn't know I was dreaming. Maybe I'll try a new technique tonight.
any what work well for you?

Well I woke up in the morning and went up for a bit to check something and then I went back to sleep,
Shortly after I felt awake but I was sleeping, I was testing out if I could manipulate things in my dream by imagining to touch a computer mouse (I know of all the things I could imagine, but it was my first try) and it felt so incredibly real!
I hope I will get a chance again
