Just a question, didn't you say that only people from the same community could interact with each other? And I thought the communities were for shifters, so why are there humans?

the shifters are allowed to talk when outside of their communities, but communities may not mingle. so shifters of different communities can talk when in the human city but cannot talk when they are in their communities... if that makes sense?
the communities are basically like human communities, at least they are to the humans. the humans, except for the government, don't know about the shifters so they all think the communities the shifters live in are like human communities.

okay so basically, when a shifter cannot go into a community that isnt theirs. so an antler shifter cannot go into the flyers community. but, all shifters can go into the city where the humans talk and socialize. they just cannot cross into other communities because of safety issues and the government is stupid as crap. so if alaska is in her community, miscellaneous, alec cannot talk to her let alone get near her.

there are many holes in the plot that i will fix sooner or later but yeahh..
