Drew listened to Tyler as he began to tell the story of how he knew the song he'd been humming. She noticed him flinch when he mentioned his mother and she figured that meant she was gone in one way or another or he didn't have many fond memories of her. By the look of the sorrow face he held, she assumed it was the first one. She felt a twinge of sorrow for him and just a bit of jealousy that he had a mother to love. She sat up straight, trying to hide all emotion.
She listened as Tyler continued and seemed to almost trail off mentioning his heritage and how the wolf bloodline worked. She was rather quite interested but tried not to show it. She flinched a little herself when he asked her personally if she liked the song and why she'd asked. She looked down at her ankle where she held a piece of ice wrapped with his white tee on her injured ankle which she still hasn't taken a look at and was unsure in what way it was injured. She gritted her teeth at the thought of it again, but attempted not to wince even though she did a few times. She was tempted to tell Tyler how she knew that song and a whole lot more. He seemed genuinely kind and sweet, but she held her tongue and just starred at her ankle. She sort of began to zone out, letting her thoughts wondered. She heard Tyler speaking but wasn't really letting the words sink in. It wasn't until he hummed yet another familiar tune and asked about her name that she came back.
Drew looked up at the boy who, even sitting, was nearly a head taller than her. One would feel afraid or even intimidated by him if it weren't for his genuine personality. But Drew was, then again, she was easily intimidated and was one to look for a fight on occasion. But she wasn't exactly afraid. There was a nagging thought in her mind, but she didn't put two and two together. She shrugged it off and waited for him to be done speaking.
"My name doesn't matter... They shouldn't have even told you the first part." she looked down at the ground and spoke the second part through her gritted teeth in a whisper more for herself than anything else. She looked back at him when he lied back on the icy cold ground, just noticing the snowflakes beginning to fall in a light layer down on them. She watched as a few animals skittered away finishing their last chores before having to pack up when the first storm hits. Drew let for of the ice pack for a moment to pull the sleeves down over her fingers. When she went pack for the tee, she saw a few spots of blood on it. It was nothing terrible, but it wasn't something that'd wash out anytime soon. Looking up at the boy, she made she he wasn't watching when she lifted up her pant leg to inspect the injury.
"Aren't you cold?" she asked the question more out of annoyance than worry as well as to try and keep him preoccupied. She had came to a conclusion that he was either an idiot or crazy. Ignoring that thought, she looked at her ankle. It had the mesh of blacks blues purples and reds of pigments along with some crimson coming from a small gash right in the center. She poked the bruise with a shaky and nearly screamed in pain. She gasped it back itstesd and bit her tongue hard enough where she swore she could taste the irony Tate of blood. Drew was sure she had broken it at worst and sprained it at best. It was probably from the way she had landed on it or on the way down and the cut was likely from a stray branch or tree stub possibly even part of a broken bottle. In that case, she needed to get it cleaned before it got infected. But of course being her stubborn, idiot self, she just put the pant leg back down and threw the balled up wet tee back at the boy.
"Ice melted." she said in sort of a snarling like way.

Tyler sat back up straight and frowned. She was clearly annoyed with him and he had no idea why. "No, I'm not cold.." he mumbled kind of low, looking down at the snowflakes that melted on his legs. He glanced back up at her and sighed slightly. "Look.. I'm just trying to be nice.." he told her honestly, which was the truth. It's been forever since he's had civil conversations with actual people, it was mostly just himself or when the other pack members were around- which was not often. It felt nice to actually talk to someone but she obviously never wanted anything to do with him, or so he thought.
A few moments of silence past and he looked at her ankle which was swelling up with colors, there was more damage there than just a little twist, it looked bloody and bruised and very swollen. He was knocked out of his gaze by his wet balled up shirt slapping him in the chest. He ringed it out and folded it as much as the wetness of the shirt would allow him and placed it to the side. He bit down on his lip and looked back at her.
"You need a first aid kit." He said it as it was. She needed it cleaned with something sterile and bandage properly, he knew there was no way he could take her to a hospital so she needed to rest until it healed, if she left it open out here it would never heal and the gash that was present would surely never heal.
"Will you please come with me" he asked her, knowing that she would probably refuse. She seemed to have her mind made up about him already- Stupid, an idiot, Crazy. of course it hurt him, but he let it slide and shook it off quickly. "There is a first aid kit back at the house.. " he told her, hoping that she would agree to go. "There may be a set of crutches or something there too you could use to get around until it heals up" he shrugged slightly, and lifted himself off the ground, picking up his shirt and ringing it out a little more before tucking it back into his pocket. He crossed his arms over his chest an looked at her with his Gold eyes that looked nothing more than worry now- He actually felt worried and sad for this girl. His main objective was to just help her, but she seemed in denial about everything. "Maybe we can talk more about the whole protection situation in more detail?" he suggested. "Because I swear, I'm not crazy" he added quickly.

Drew glared at the boy. Seeing him now, tall, lean, muscular, admitably cute, and a pair of kind golden optics. He was an average boy any girl would love to be around. But Drew niches preferred the silent beautiful creature of the white wolf she had seen before, full of mystery and wonder. The creature who had no trace of humanity or care for her. Before he came to help her. It would have made things much simpler if the wolf had walked away or even attacked her. But of course things are never as one wishes.
"I don't need a first aid Kit, I don't need crutches and u most certainly don't need your protection!" She was frustrated, annoyed, confused, in pain and above all, all though she wouldn't admit it, afraid. Deep down, she felt bad for treating the kind boy the way she was. She didn't want to hurt him and didn't want to see the hurt he hid in his golden optics behind all the other emotion he showed. She wanted him to turn around and walk away before she could cause anymore damage to his poor soul that had probably suffered enough without her there. But these are things she'd only think of or admit years ago when she was a young and innocent child. Before all the loss and betrayal she suffered.
Drew looked around her for her pocket blade, once her hand was on it, she figured Tyler May tense a little so she slowly picked it up, closed it and returned it to her pocket. She got to her feet, trying not to favor her right ankle, but ended up wincing every time she applied her weight to it. When she looked up at Tyler, she finally realized how tall her really was. Probably over six feet and somewhere around a foot taller than her, causing her to have to look up to see his golden optics. She started to walk away, her pace slow and weak. After a few feet away, she had to stop because she realized two she was missing a few things she needed to get away. Something warm so she wouldn't freeze to death, something to give her more strength like food for one, and above all, directions. She had no idea where she was or even worse, where she was going

Tyler kept a frown on his face, clearly things were not going the way he had hoped. He watched her stumble a few feet away from him and he stuck his hands in his pockets, shifting his weight from foot to foot. "You don't have to like me" He called out to her as she walked away. "I'm just trying to help you, These woods are huge and it's snowing for god sake" He pulled his hands out of his pockets, a few snow flakes fell on his hands but melted right away. "You will freeze out here.. There's no food out here for you, and your bleeding- What about other wolves, that are true wolves?" He obviously wasn't saying this to hurt her feelings, and he said it in a tone that had a soft, caring side towards it- It was the truth. All the wild berries are gone, all the plants dead.
He rubbed his eyes and pushed his hair back, it was getting wet with the snow that had become increasingly thicker, the sky starting to get darker with the time of day and with a storm creeping up on them within the seconds. He walked a few steps after her, but stopped a little nervous about the blade she had tucked away in her pocket, she seemed agitated and he knew that pissed off people would do anything to get the annoyance away from them. He never wanted her to take a jab at him.
"Andrew.. please.." He said as simple as that, his native accent hung on her name with such ease, as if it was some sort of native name. "Just come with me.. You'll get pain relief, food, warmth even your own bed if you want to take a nap" He waited for her to turn back, his dark pupils wide in his golden eyes. "I know you don't trust me right now, and maybe you never will. But just trust me on this one thing, right now. Everything else will work out. I know this is a lot to take in. But please." he took a deep breath as he said that all in one sentence. He closed his eyes and turned his shoulder to her, thinking about shifting back into his wolf form. Maybe she was serious? Maybe she didn't want anything to do with him? He hoped not.

Drew stopped short the moment she heard Tyler say her name. She clenched her fists and turned on him with a snarl. "Don't call me that!" her optics were lit up like fire as her words pierced sharper than any blade could. She nearly screamed the words at him and gave him a bit of a shove. The girl may had been agitated before, but hearing her name, she was pushed over the edge. For a moment, her mind raced and memories flooded back, but she pushed them away. She looked down at the ground and took a step back, wincing as she stepped back with her right foot.
Noticing the snow fall in much larger loads, Drew felt the wind pick up a slight bit as well. She folded her arms over her chest, casually trying not to appear cold. She was being a stubborn idiot, and she knew it. She started to think about his words, letting them sink in. He was right about her ankle for one and there being no food and her probably freezing to death. She was at the brink of not caring what happened to her however, which made things worse for Tyler. I think you got the wrong girl. she thought to herself, direct the question at the boy referring to his previous words. She believed she was broken beyond compare and was incapable of comprehending why someone would ever care about what happened to her. And maybe he was just some twisted lunatic psycho kid luring her into a trap. but what if he wasn't? the thought she kept referring back to.
The mention of food made her realize how hungry she really was. She hadn't eaten real or good food in a long while and couldn't imagine what he may have waiting. And a bed? The sound of it was crazy all in itself. The more she thought of the things he said, the more she was drawn inward. All she wanted to say, though was that'd she'd be fine on her own like she had been for a year or so. That she'd manage somehow and if she didn't, it wouldn't matter anyway. Another life lost is another life gained, right?
"Do you have cheeseburgers?" she couldn't stop herself from speaking and felt like an idiot as soon as the words escaped from her mouth. But once she thought of food, she realized that a huge greasy party of meat in between two sweet buns of bread with a melted piece of cheese on the burger, was something she had a longing for that she don't know existed.

The shove she gave him was unexpected and he stumbled back a few feet, A real wolf sounding growl escaped his lips that were still pressed in a frown. He regained his balance and gave her a look, his gold eyes wide. "Then what can I call you?" he ran his hand through his hair and sighed. "I'm sorry, I wont call you that.." A look of pity washed over him, He was confused, baffled, but still not willing to back down yet, he still had some hope in her that after a while she may come around.
Tyler then heard her speak, it seemed that maybe she was finally going to give in and follow him back. He tilted his chin slightly and nodded a few times "Yes, yeah.. of course, There's cheeseburgers there." He gave a very small smile, tucking his hands into his pockets, watching her facial expressions. "Hot dogs too" He nodded towards the trail that was well beat down and open that lead into a small path that would lead them to the pack mansion.
"Please come?" he asked, almost with a plead. He held out a hand to her, he doubt that she would take it for support, but he offered it to her anyways, out of kindness.
Sorry this is so short ^^ I have a big post planned next time.

Drew nearly jumped at his sudden snap of his attitude. She couldn't blame him though since she had been pushing him so much mentally that she would imagine that the last push physical could have pushed a button. She looked at him with wide optics from a bit of shock, but quickly flipped her hood up before the boy could see them. The last thing she wanted was to feel more like an idiot than she had already proven to be.
Maybe he was walking straight into a trap after all. But then again, who'd try so hard to convince someone unless they were desperate. She was about to ask Tyler just than when she noticed he was looking away again, but this time he seemed to have somewhere to look.
Drew followed his gaze to a beaten path, worn down by travelers of both foot and paw. She looked back at him while his thoughts still seemed to be set on the path home. Okay, so what if it's a trap... she began to think to herself. At least she'd have someone who showed they cared.
When Tyler looked back at her, she was already waiting. She nodded her cranium softly, barely noticeable. When she looked down at his extended his hand, she shook her head. "If I'm coming with you, you're not carrying me or supporting me in anyway. I can do it on my own." her ankle looked sullen and bitter and felt even worse, and she was saying the words as if to reassure herself as well. But she wasn't going to be seen as the weak girl who couldn't handle pain. "Deal?"Haha, no worries. And I can't wait to see it :3

Tyler pulled his hand back from her and nodded once, it was a fair enough deal. at least he had finally convinced her to follow him. "Deal" he said and turned his body towards the trail, pushing the taller twigs out of their way and keeping quite. He walked a bit of a slower pace, letting the girl keep up to him so she wouldn't rush her injury and he glanced back at her a few times to make sure she was still up on her two feet. The snow started coming down in thick patches now, covering the small footpath that was there. He decided it would be better for him now to lead the way in his canine form, now that visable scent had been covered with a thick layer of snow. He wandered off a little faster ahead of her so he could have some space to morph and did so quickly. His golden eyes now on a wolves face, meeting hers as she caught up. He propped his ears forward and barked once at her, turning around back to the direction they were headed and pressed his nose to the snow like a bloodhound sniffing out their next meal. He lifted his head several times to sniff out the air for any sign of threat or even if any of the other wolves from the pack have been around- from his understanding they were also out this week, looking for their girls to protect.
At the end of the trail Tyler stopped, standing up straight. His tail swished back and forth and he stood their relaxing looking at the house- But no, it wasn't a basic house. It was the pack mansion, made up of orange rounded logs. The roof was a cherry red shingle, the mansion was huge, with lots of windows and even a few chimneys that kept the place warm. The smell of firewood and fall filled the air. The whole place looked like an over sized cabin. There was a lot of open space outside, the entire property surrounded by a fence of thick trees from the woods.
Tyler morphed back into his human form and brushed his fingers through his hair, glancing over at the girl who was also looking at the cabin, he could tell she had most of her weight shifted to her good ankle and he felt glad he could get her a first aid kit now and some clean supplies.
"This is the place" he said, taking a few steps forward- marking the official but invisible line of their territory, which if anyone crossed other than the wolves and their girls would be killed on the spot. The wolves were very territorial over their land.
There will be a long post shortly when they get inside

Drew narrowed her optics at the boy, wondering if he would actually keep that promise or not, but she went with it. He seemed to be ready to move, because as soon as he agreed, he was already on his way. Drew had to somehow manage an odd waddle to catch up to him. She followed him on the path, looking down at her feet to watch where she stepped, but also to avoid Tyler's glance every time he looked back to check on her. Nearly every step she took was a wince, gritted teeth and a bite down on her lower lip or her tongue. She couldn't be sure, but she was beginning to believe she was draw blood from her mouth. She closed her chapped lips that had been wounded long before then from a nervous tick of chewing on them until they became raw.
Drew noticed almost immediately when the snow was falling thicker. There was a coming storm and she could feel it through the sweater that she wore which kept little wind out, but shadows in. She just shrugged off the feeling, but brought it back quickly once she realized thinking of other things was keeping her mind off of her ankle. She went so far out in her wandering thoughts that she had barely noticed Tyler pick up his pace and shift into his wolf form. She came out of her thoughts a slight bit when he began sticking his muzzle in the snow a couple of times.
When Tyler stopped, Drew looked up, but she could smell it before she could see it. Obviously her senses weren't as keen as a wolves, but the strongest scents were of Autumn and firewood as though the leaves had just turned color and filled the forest with an ancient smell and somebody had set freshly cut firewood in the foreplace and lit a match. The air around her seemed warmer just of the thought. It was as though she could shed her sweater without the fear of freezing. This made her a little uncomfortable so she shifted a bit, tightening the space between her folled arms and her body. Another strange scent hung in the air. The scent of pine, but she shrugged it off seeing as they were in a forest full of trees.
As Drew looked at the pack house Tyler seemed to consider as home, she was shocked at its size. She looked up and around the place. When Tyler began to move again, she followed, but stopped a few feet away. She looked at the ground where he stood. She glanced up at him for a split second before hesitantly moving forward again, crossing the territory line into his domain.

Tyler sized up the place and nodded. The roof was coated with thick snow that was falling harder and harder by the minute. The grey smoke came out thick from the chimney, filling the air with a homey-cabin-like-cozy scent, No one was in the house at the moment, so it was from the fire that Tyler had lit a few hours ago and was still blazing strong from the oak wood block he placed inside the pit. He turned to Drew and did a little head gesture quietly, turning his body back towards the house and walking through the snow, leaving fresh footprints in the snow. He pulled his key from his shorts pocket, a small wooden wolf that he carved himself dangled from a leather string from his key- A hobby that he had picked up after he became a wolf and spent a long time alone. He had perfected the hobby of carving, most of his work was neat and fairy detailed- All small wolves the size of coins. He unlocked the door of the house and turned the brass knob to the safeness of them both.
The house was cozy inside, just like a cabin- but bigger. The porch had a small closet for shoes and coats, along with a rack for hats or gloves. There was a small wooden bench placed on the left wall in the porch, with a wolf running carved into it. The living area was very large. It consisted of a few couches that sat around a dark oak coffee table which had an ornament laid on the top of a wolf howling. There was a large brick fireplace set in front of this area with a large chunk of wood crackling with the hot red blaze. The walls were a light brown color and some walls even had logs in them like outside. The floor was a dark red oak tone but plush mats were placed down to break the chill of the floor on cold winter mornings. On the opposite side of the wall lay an record player in mint condition with a stack of records in a mesh box beside it, mostly wolf songs, rock and some others. Under that lay a regular radio with a ipod attached. Each window had their drapes pulled back to let the sunlight shine into the house, which he did call home.
He waited for the girl to get to the door and he slowly closed it behind her once she got it. He could tell she was in serious pain and all he wanted her to do was sit down and take the pressure off it. He made a hand gesture towards the couch "You can sit down, if you'd like.. I'm going to get you the first aid kit."
Tyler turned and walked upstairs, first stopping into his room to take off his wet clothes and he pulled on a pair of jeans and a plain dark green tee shirt. He then went into the bathroom and splashed a little cold water over his face and hair and washed his hands. He grabbed the first aid kit on the way out and bounced down the stairs, going over to the couch with the white plastic container. "Here you go, use whatever you need in it" he told her kindly. He clicked the button and it popped open revealing brand new tubes of Polysporn and peroxide, alcohol pads, wrap bandages, Bandaids, splints- pretty much everything. He wanted to help her out but he never offered because he already knew she would decline. So he let her do it herself the way she was comfortable. He stood up and walked to the freezer, pulling out a actual ice pack and wrapping it in a dish cloth bringing that out to her as well.
