A war has been started between Cymbiir, an Elven Kingdom and Verbroné, a Human Kingdom who's objectives are quite evil. The war started when Verbroné attacked the Elven Kingdom without warning and destoryed and killed many of their kind and many sacred items that were dear to the race. Angered and disgraced by the ruthless and harmful actions Cymbiir sought to fight back and nearly destoryed the whole kingdom of Verbroné but didn't out of mercy.

Now an never-ending war has started between the two and skirmishes and battles break out across the land. Verbroné has expanded their nation over and through many countries in Eelyria. But the only nation that stand between them and taking over Eelyria is the ancient Elven kingdoms that lie in the east. The largest of them all was Cymbiir the one they attacked first. Now you must choose whether to serve the Elves or the Humans? Both objectives on each side are menacing but you must decide what you think is right.

ABOUT THE ELVES

Elves are Germanic Mythology and are not subject to disease or physical aging. They mature at the age around 50 - 100 and though they can be killed by violence, poison (if not treated) or by wasting away but otherwise Elves are immortal. Elves possess unnatural speed, grace, agility and stamina. They are twice as fast as humans with their movements, especially in battle. They can use magic, cast spells and each elf has one elemental power they possess; fire, sky, water, ice or nature. Elves are very graceful and unique creatures and have a very formal way of speaking. They can speak in the common language (English) or in their own language of Telerin (which you will post in english but in italics). Their hair colour is like humans; black, blonde, white/grey and red (orange). The way they fight is graceful like a dance. Every elf possess’ a sword made especially for them. They may have daggers or a bow along with arrows if they wish but normally if they do not have a bow or daggers, they have two swords.

THE HUMANS

The humans are subjected to disease and physical aging, even if they are magical and can cast spells. They mature around the age of 16 - 20 in this era and can be killed in any way possible. Humans have to train and hone their speed, grace, agility and stamina. Humans can use magic but have to practice and learn new spells so they can go against the Elves. Human spell-casters can actually win against Elven spell-casters, and the match between the words and spells is pretty even because humans like to test more dangerous spells to wield and experiment more often that Elves which gives them an advantage. Humans speak the common language of English and they’re hair colors are the standard and normal colours; black, blonde, white/grey (if you’re old), and red. There are a range of different weapons humans can use such as; swords, crossbows, daggers, spears etc.

He walked the long empty halls of his woodland kingdom. He had dismissed the guards that kept by his side a while ago knowing that the captain of the guard, Faelyn, wouldn't be impressed or happy about his actions. He didn't care. He didn't care what she thought he only thought of how a simple border patrol could go so terribly wrong. There was no alert or warning and the guards didn't notice anything odd before they walked out into a total ambush.

He had to lockdown the castle before the Verbroné assassins could come and cause more destruction. Levos felt a cold shiver down his spine and wrapped his dark, dark green cloak around him tighter. He waved his hand over some dying plants and watched curiously as they sprung back to life with blossoming flowers and bright green leaves. He huffed before making his way back to his room. He wondered once again were his wife was, probably attending some lovely banquet or helping their people. Levos made his way to his mighty throne, he walked up the stairs glancing at the guards that suddenly were by his side. His throne was magnificent. It was a large carved wooden seat with giant elk horns protruding from the back.

Levos sat down on his throne and sighed heavily, his artistic twig and leaf crown sat delicately atop his head, his long gown of dark green puddled around him and his long silver blonde hair hung limply from his proud and intense head. Levos glanced around his throne and closed his eyes. He saw his people, waking up early in the day doing their regular jobs, he could sense their constant fear of another attack.

He pried more using his sight, seeing only the dark forest that remained around them as a constant barrier from the dark world before them. Opening his pale blue eyes Levos looked around, staring at one of his guards for a moment before creating a long and thick vine to appear from the ground he wrapped the vine around the guards ankle before dismissing the idea to foolishly embarrasses him and instead tapped the elf on his shoulder. "Please send for my wife, I would like to speak with her." he said in a smooth authoritative tone.

Faelyn rolled her shoulders, and then her neck as she walked into the fresh brisk outdoors of the Cymbiir kingdom. She walked with long elegant strides, the small heels on her leather boots clicked softly as she strode across the elven courtyard. It was busy for this time of the morning in Cymbiir, and Faelyn thought it was rather strange.

Probably from the ambush of yesterday she thought shaking her head. It was a fatal mistake by herself and the king to let a couple of guards go past the safety of the kingdom walls into the dark forest to patrol, especially at night. Faelyn kicked a rock sending it flying across the marble ground, she was annoyed, she'd lost five of her finest trained men to something no elf, or man could prepare for. She felt her hands become hot and she placed them on the pommel of her sword, the cool metal quickly reduced the heat coming from her hands and she was once again normal temperature.

Faelyn made her way to the traning area for the warriors and guards of Cymbiir, she nodded to those that acknowledged her and said a brief good-morning in the elvish tongue. She arrived at her training quarters especially for her and grabbed a few of her finest throwing knives, a large fake dummy of a human, or beast stood around 10 metres away from where she was standing. She slid her right foot behind her and took a deep breath before making a quick and sharp movement, and threw the knife. The unique silver weapon flew through the air at deathly speeds before burying itself into the dummy. Faelyn smiled wickedly and again and again threw knives moving around the room as quick as a striking snake.

❀--Aria Mier
elf ❀ healer ❀ water ❀ open

Aria walked along the cobbled road, letting the crisp morning air carry her past the other elves caught in the bustle of the morning. Although the kingdom was at war, Aria couldn't help but feel...at peace. She had saved the life of a crying child early this morning, barely an hour old. It had changed the life of the child's mother. It was the small things like that, the things that seemed mundane to Aria that made life worthwhile. And so she walked, watching as many seemed worried and anguished over the battles that moved around them like a hurricane, but not feeling as though she were part of the storm.

Slowly, Aria found herself wandering through the center of the city and past the palace, where she saw in a blur of motion the captain of the guard whisk past, most likely to the training ground. Being fond of water, Aria had never quite understood the myriad of emotion that followed the powerful elf around. The women was nearly as fiery as the flames she manipulated; Aria herself was like glassy water, sparkling in the sun. She watched for a moment, wondering of the trouble that seemed to be shadowing the dear captain. Sitting on the edge of a sparkling fountain, Aria absentmindedly moved her hand, coaxing the glistening water into shapes. Horses galloped across the smooth surface and birds leapt from tier to tier. With a splash, Aria let the shapes fall back into the basin, melting like snow in spring.

A clang and a smash caught Aria's attention, drawing her out of her silent reverie. The noises were coming from the arena, where she was sure Faelyn had disappeared not moments before. Perhaps it is not my place to bother the captain, Aria wondered lightly, walking towards the noise. She had never been one to shy away from those in need, and by the sound of the arena, Faelyn was in need. Gliding like a spirit, Aria waltzed past the training guards, feeling their gaze burn into her back like the flames many of them possessed. Healers weren't normally welcome in the soldiers' barracks, but Aria had somewhat of a knack for appearing places that she shouldn't be. Peering around the edge of the door, Aria smiled as she saw the elf hurling knife after knife into the practice dummies. "My, I'm glad I'm not of Verbroné," she said, leaning against the door frame. "Is there anything I can do for you, Faelyn?" Aria asked, sounding genuinely concerned. Then again, this might not be the kind of wound one could heal with a simple trick of water. The captain's pride might bear scars even Aria could not erase.

➸--Raoden Marx
human ➸ captain of the guard ➸ open

Raoden paced his quarters, hands tucked neatly behind his back and brow furrowed. The border skirmishes with Cymbiir were...concerning, to say the least. He knew that the ambush on the border patrol was a startling advantage, but still...concerning. Raoden had not ordered the attack. A few of his more devoted soldiers had taken it upon themselves, in their lust for battle, to "protect the royal family," as they put it. It had angered Raoden, but he didn't let it show. How could he? The entire kingdom expected him to act as their savior; for all they knew, he had executed the ambush himself! News may travel fast, but it often didn't travel well. Raoden stopped pacing momentarily to glance out the window at the impending tree line, not a kilometer away from his barracks. Being the captain of the guard, Rao could afford his own place, but he liked to be close to his company, especially after the stunts they had pulled a night ago.

Pulling on his forest green cloak, Raoden walked down into the training arena, where many of the more dedicated soldiers were already up and working. Walking around the perimeter, he corrected form and checked posture, making sure each soldier was in top shape. After all, they were only human to the grace and beauty of their fantastical competition. Secretly, Raoden wondered how the people of Verbroné could ever win this war. They were fighting elves, for god's sake! It almost seemed hopeless; Rao sometimes couldn't even remember the match that had sparked the conflict in the first place.

Raoden walked through the sword arena to the archery range, checking up on his ranged soldiers. He nodded, approving at the whistle of flying arrows, each hitting their mark exactly. Rao especially admired the archers; he was moderately okay with a bow, but he never had the concentration or the skill to release with such accuracy. It really took patience and time to practice, something Rao was recently running short of.

Walking back out into the main arena, Raoden walked back to the battlements, observing cautiously. He knew it was no good to yell at the soldiers who had disobeyed his orders; they already thought him weak for showing mercy. He thought them selfish for refusing to see justice. Many of the citizens of Cymbiir had done nothing wrong. And then there were those who were supported him, if only because he gave them hope to continue on after his unlikely rise to power. Rao sighed inwardly. More and more, it seemed as though his own army was dividing beneath him.

Faelyn snapped her head around with a knife in hand and was about to hold it to neck-point but stopped when she realized she was staring at the gifted healer, and water manipulator; Aria Mier. She sighed closing her green eyes for a moment before turning back to the dummy that was now filled with elven knives. The comment that Aria made about not being Verbroné made her snarled to herself, Verbroné don't even get me started on them she thought to herself.

"Good Morning Aria, what brings you here?" she asked ignoring the question about if she could do anything for her. The cowardly attack on their kingdom guards flashed through her mind, the dying faces Faelyn shuddered before throwing her arm backwards then forwards throwing a knife at breakneck speed. It hit the dummy in a fiery mess, Faelyn had somehow connected her fire to the knife and successfully thrown it.

Faelyn stared at the knife blankly still bent over from her powerful throw before straightening up and looking to Aria, throwing her long red hair over her shoulders. "I seem to have learnt a new trick," she stated aloud to the she-elf with a fake smile, that was poor to convince Aria she was alright.

Aria was a friend to Faelyn, the captain guard herself admired the she-elf at her skillful healing and delightful personality, unlike Faelyn. Again sighing, she stalked past Aria like a serpent clouds seemed to hang above the elf's head with the clouded and aggravating thoughts of the ambush resting uncomfortably in her mind. Faelyn tugged at her brown leather pants that hid beneath a short dark green gown that rested above her knees. (the one from the hobbit) "Aria do you know how the guards are doing? Are they recovering well after last night's destruction?" she asked keeping her voice as cool and collected as possible.

Sophia - post 1.

Postby pahlen » Mon Dec 29, 2014 12:45 am

      SOPHIA - HUMAN WARRIOR
Tagged: Raoden. age: twenty three. powers: no powers. weapon: bow and arrow.

It was a cold and almost foreboding morning and a light mist hung around the buildings, like the breath of some un earthly form was always watching them. Sophia's brown eyes observed her surroundings, and then set upon the horizon to where the rolling trees marked the eleven country. The archer's face became unreadable. Somewhere, in that place where no human should stand, her brothers lifeless corpse was cold. Every morning, the same picture would flash through her mind and the sunrise did little to relieve her pain. She did not save him - and Sophia blamed herself. Sat on the damp ground with her bow and arrow next to her, Sophia's wondered who would win this fight when the end came. These elves, although beautiful, were merciless killers and many humans, her friends had fallen to their attacks. They also had magic, powerful magic which was also dangerous. And in other terms, they were immortal - meaning they were much more experienced. But putting her hands together, Sophia briefly looked to sky, to discard all of the negatives thoughts. Humans were on this planet for a reason. They were strong. And even when possessing no power, Sophia would show the strength that she wielded. She lived each day to avenge her brother and get ever closer to victory. But her bones were becoming tired. War is a game at first... but then it fades into a monotonous lifestyle, and each kill stabs your heart. Sophia was a well known archer, killing many of the elves lives but she now craved peace - either that or the complete annihilation of the oppositions race.

Sighing deeply, causing smoke to curl through the air, the brunette got onto her feet, brushing down her dark clothing and quickly made her way to the archery range. She was rather surprised to see that more than five people had beaten her to the grounds but smiling, she nodded her welcome before lifting her bow and shooting - perfectly on target. As soon at the arrow hit the target however, a figure captured her attention and she turned her head gently, lowering her bow. It did not take long to realize that it was the captain of the guard and offering a brief smile, it was then Sophia noticed the concern in his eyes. It was sad to see how war effected people. Many people were drive mad by the sights they may have seen, which both drew and drove people apart. Blinking dully, the young archer decided to follow Raoden. Putting the bow firmly in her hand, Sophia jogged at a stable pace through the streets and corners. Finally, the archer caught up and softly she put a hand on his shoulder. "Is everything alight Raoden?" she asked, then moving to his side. "You seem, concerned" Sophia carefully added.

Awaiting his reply, Sophia swallowed with hesitance. Among all the people here, Raoden was the one person she could not read very well and glancing to the forest in the distance once more, the archer suddenly felt uneasy. But smiling again, when the cold breeze suddenly picked up she arched her eyebrows, shivering lightly."It's a cold morning isn't it!? I believe this will be the first of many."

Queen Lauriel
An uneasy feeling hung in the air around the gardens of the Elven fortress as several figures walked through the garden paths together, speaking in a language a human couldn't understand. Times like these call for drastic measures,"a rather tall man with auburn hair and a long grey cloak said. It certainly does, Theorin." Another man, slightly shorter, but with very similar auburn hair, replied. Your Magesty, what are you planning to do about this most recent attack?"The woman to whom this was directed fixed her brilliant blue gaze on her advisor. For now, I was planning on stopping any further attacks and helping those who were injured in this attack."
At that moment, an attendant hurried through the double doors that led to the gardens from the castle. He approched Queen, dipped his head into a bow, and said "Your majesty, your husband has asked to see you in the throne room." Lauriel nodded to dismiss the attendant and turned to her advisors. "I must go. I will think on the council you have given." With this, the Queen turned and walked through the door leading into the castle, reaching the throne room in a matter of minutes. "You requested to see me, my lord?" She said, opening the door and crossing the room to stand beside her husband.
