I'd like to try something other than a betta in the tank; it's a 2.5 gallon. I know that doesn't have a lot of options. Any ideas?
2.5 gal, in liters that's like, 9.something liters. Shrimps? There are also some very small rasboras(1,5-2 cm long), but I'm not super familar with them or what size tank is recommended for them in general. I also know of one person, who had some in 20L and ended up giving them away, because the males would take mini territories and chase away other fish from those areas. And that was quite well planted tank, which usually helps to keep up the peace.
Other than those, I can't think of anything else to put in...
Did little test today. I've been wondering if it's just the corries that feel vibrations from the floor. So I tested my blue neons. I stuck piece of food tablet on the tank wall, so they'd come out of hiding and stay in the open. Then let them eat for bit, walked to the other edge of the room, shut down the room's light(they can't see me so well then I've noticed) and waited again for bit. Then stomped my heel down(on carpet) and boom fishies spook a way. So it seems even tetras do feel vibrations coming from the floor, even if it's not coming from right next to the tank.
Also did some re-planting and moved the tree piece little bit. I've come to the point with my tank, that I no longer have space to plant all my cutlings. :c I was so supposed to bring that empty tank to my room during the holidays and start using it as plant tank and maaaaaybe try and breed the blue neons. But nooo, had to break the stupid bone. XP
