Normally Darkstar wasn't the type to take advice, but he trusted Skyepelt's opinion on this. Silverstar would learn of Shadepelt's treachery on his own soon enough. "If that is what you think is right." He watched her for a moment studying the look on her face. She seemed a little embarrassed, though by what he couldn't really say. He pressed his muzzle against her shoulder briefly, a gentle nudge. "Lighten up." He spoke with a grin. Who ever thought he would say such a thing?

Skye's ears flicked as she looked at Darkstar with evident surprise. Of all the dogs to listen to, he's going to take my advice? She flashed him a smile, watching him with curiosity. "You seem different somehow. More.. Relaxed." She laughed quietly and shook her head. "And no, it's not a bad thing and I do still think you're our tough alpha. Nothing will change that." She spoke with pride. No matter how much she doubted it, she knew she belonged in Shadowpack.

A smile was given to her as he lowered his rump to sit in front of her. "I am more relaxed. With Shadepelt gone I don't feel so on edge and..." He paused before he could go on to finish that sentence, looking at her for a long moment. No. He couldn't say that. He chuckled to himself letting the thought drift away. "Nevermind, the last bit isn't important. Oh, and I am still the big tough alpha, better watch out." He winked at her as he said this, a low growl ripping through his throat.

Skye decided not to give his unspoken thought much attention. Instead, she laughed and dipped her head respectfully. "Please don't hurt me, mighty alpha!" She looked up at him, smiling as she spoke. She hadn't spoken this much in a long time, and it felt good to her.

Posture became dignified as she spoke to him, he lifted his skull proudly. "Very well, I shall take mercy upon you." He smirked then tackled her rolling with her on the ground. It wasn't a hard tackle, just playful, as if they were young pups in a play fight. "But I'm still gonna get you!" He laughed trying to find her ear to chew on.

Skye laughed and lightly pawed at him, not going to push him away like she would an enemy. She knew he wouldn't actually hurt her, so she allowed him to playfully attack her. "Oh Darkstar, I am no match for you!" She howled, smiling as they fought.

He heard dogs talking outside and walked out to see what it was when he saw darkstar and skyepelt "honestly if this is our alpha Shadepelt can bring down our entire pack" he grumbled stmping back to his pelt

Skye glanced over and saw Brownpaw, her ears folding back. She started to worry about what he would do when she saw him go back to his den, then she relaxed. If Shadepelt or Stonepelt had been around, he probably would have said something snarky. She put those thoughts out of her mind as she and Darkstar wrestled. She wasn't going to let that petty apprentice upset her.
