Does anyone know what this month's cats are based off? I think someone said they were lanterns but did the artist confirm it? ;o

:) It's difficult to explain. Hototos are a fanatasy breed. A young woman in sweden made them. She's called Jullein on devianart. Hototos are very big, bigger then normal horses. They are up to life forever, have a "soul" around their bodys in their strip color. Stallions got beards on their muzzle Mares don't.

I would love if the based on this. They are amazing.

The cats aren't based on anything. And I've never seen that species before they were brought up in this thread. I don't even like horses. Haha. They look cool, though. (:

I guess it's because a lot of the recent pets have had elaborate meanings and such that I expect almost every pet to be based off something, lol.
