I looked up and fixed my shirt, "And whats that?" I asked

Carmen pursed her lips, "Remember the first day Ashton came, he wasn't exactly mean, he was pretty nice. Even Kouba wagged his tail when he saw me. But then, that day I shot him, he was like a total opposite. They both were....what could of happened between then?" She muttered.

I sighed and pursed my lips, "Who knows...maybe you can ask him about it." I said softly and shrugged

Carmen nodded, "Yeah, are you ready to go?" She asked, putting on her shoes.

I slipped on my DC shoes and grabbed my keys, "Yep lets get goin" I said with a smile and started walking towards the door to go downstairs

Carmen followed him, still mulling over that new piece of the puzzle. I guess I'll find out soon enough..... She shook her head, and grabbed Jacob's hand, just to calm herself.

I smiled and took her hand in mine stroking the back of her hand with my thumb. "Calm down babe" I said smiling

Carmen sighed, and looked at him, "I'm trying." She said.

I stopped just before we got to the truck and gave her a kiss standing there in front of her. "Remember we have the freedom to leave when ever we want" I said with a smile

Carmen smiled and put her hand on his cheek, "That's true. How about afterward we have a night out? We haven't gone on a date since we were in California." She suggested.
