Watership Down was AMAZING

IT WAS SO GOOD DUDE

I NEED TO BUY ANOTHER COPY OF IT BECAUSE I LOST MINE

I think that, as a rule, if you ever want to write a story about animals, read Watership Down first and see how it can be done really well and realistically.

ShadowClan is the cat Slytherin. Seriously, reading the Warriors Gatherings is like watching gullible background ponies wasting their money on a 'magic tonic' or cheering on Trixie, an obvious lier and fraud, or even applauding the mane six when they try to belittle her and then laughing at them when their tricks are 'mysteriously' spoiled. Sheesh, it feels like the one big DerpyClan. Enough of ponies for now.

They are making the villains so obvious and take advantage of younger, credulous readers who go like 'Wow that's so cool and clever!' when they find out who killed Redtail. Seriously, it takes three books for a mildly intelligent cat to figure it out, but then again he had to get proof...Bluestar literally denied all of it, and only believed when she was on the edge of getting murdered. I totally agree with you all, Hunter can't write.

I just love how everyone IMMEDIATELY suspects Yellowfang. No thought to it whatsoever. I mean come on, shouldn't the Thunderclan cats be able to figure out that Brokenstar is a lying liar who lies?

Oh wait, this is Warriors. If the plot demands it, the cats will ALLWAYS become stupid. Why? Because Erin Hunter can't write. Moving on.

To be fair, the idea of giving the leaders nine lives IS a pretty interesting idea. But I really wish that Erin Hunter used the starclan thing like you said. Speaking of that, I also wish that Erin Hunter would have given the cats a sort of Cat Language like the rabbits in Watership Down had. That would be interesting. I also wish that she would have written them more like realistic cats like how the guy who wrote Watership Down wrote them more like ra-

Oh wait, he could write. Erin Hunter can't. Moving on.

Yeah the fact that they completely dropped the whole "Apprentices go to Moonstone" thing after the original series annoyed me even back when I was 11

Alright, those two paragraphs made me laugh. You've earned a stripe today.

I've discussed this somewhere - I would have much preferred if the cats were given a metaphorical nine lives. These nine lives provide memories of more experienced cats in StarClan, so whenever a leader is struck with a situation that they don't know how to handle, they suddenly remember this event happening before, and what got it resolved, even though they weren't around to experience it. Imagine how cool it would be if Firestar was trying to figure out how to stop Tigerstar, only to suddenly have a vision of another tyrant being defeated in a certain manner, generations ago.

Which two paragraphs?

Now that you mention that, yeah, that would have been really cool! Too bad Erin Hunter can't write.

Okay then.

[But seriously though, Watership Down is great.]

Sometimes I think that the warriors present at Chapter-Thirteen Gathering all though:

'I totally believe the leader of cat Slytherin, even tough he is shown to be manipulative, slightly insane and violent, because...reasons.'

Spoiler Alert!

Tigerclaw is pretty obvious too. Whenever Fireheart had some proof to his treachery, Bluestar was like:

'You are my trusted warrior and ex-apprentice but I have no belief in you, I don't even feel a tiny little bit of suspicion towards Tigerclaw, because when he finally gets his exposition it needs to be a shock for me so I can go crazy. Why? Drama.'

Cat Slytherin made me laugh as well. (They go to the Sorting Moonstone and touch it to receive their class-Clan.)

Bluestar is just a mess in general, nevermind her actions about Tigerstar (or lack thereof).

("-paw, Fire-!"

Firepaw goes up to the rock and touches it.

"ThunderClan!")

You can just call that Cat Gryffindor, or Cat Hufflepuff because their Clan traits are 'Fierce and Loyal'. Plus Hufflepuffs seem to believe most gossip, especially in the second book, so that's a good match.
