Scarletpaw's eyes glowed happily, and her ears perked. "Thank you, Ashfire!" The novice couldn't wait for her longly-held-back ceremony. Scarletpaw was ready to be a warrior, and she'd make a good one if she made good decisions for herself and the clan. The ginger she-cat's tail wiggled with excitement.

"Well, then, lets go!" The tom flicked his black tail towards the direction of camp and bounded off, showing off the surprising amount of youth he still had at his older age. Though, he wasn't really all that old, just older then most warriors in the clan at the moment.[/size][/center]

((Hey there everyone! Merry Christmas to you all, even though I wasn't able to be on yesterday to tell you on time. Anyways sorry I've been MIA but I have good reason for it and good news as well. My parents had recently decided to get a divorce and my mom moved me halfway across the country, where we weren't totally settled and I didn't have interenet service to be an active member as I used to be. Well as of last night I'm back in my old house with my mom and dad, for a couple years until college of course, but this also means I have my internet back and within a few days of settling back in I should be back in my old cycle as an active clan member. Sorry that was long and none of you asked to know but thanks for reading.

Ashfire smiled at his apprentice thnking of their conversation in leaf-bare about waiting till prey picked back up for her assessment. Now Scarletpaw was older than most apprentices who become warriors, but it wouldn't matter much longer as she'd be better than most warriors in 'Dawnclan'. "I give praise to where it's deserved." He said to her after a few quiet moments. "I'm sure other patrols have gove out today lets head back." Padding over to join her he started to bend his head down to pick up the rabbit; though he stopped himself knowing it didn't matter how heavy it was Scarletpaw would insist on carrying it.


Littlestep laughed a little at him a bit but joined him. She ran faster in order to catch up to the large tom. As her grey paws thudded against the ground her heart started to race as the pairs bounded along in a playful mannor. (wb)

And Skybug: Well, I'm sorry your parents decided to get a divorce. I know that's not any fun, especially for those who are more or less stuck in the middle of it. My best friend's parents divorced, and it was ugly. She stayed at my house for a solid week because she couldn't stand it back at her house. Well, maybe being back in your old house will be nice, I've never liked the idea of moving and I don't think I will, as I get homesick really easily. I hope all goes well, and I hope you had a very merry Christmas!

Scarletpaw flicked her ginger tail, and felt herself grin as Ashfire thought about picking up the rabbit, but then thought better of it. "Looks like I'm not the only mentor around here," Scarletpaw meowed, knowing he had learned that she'd refuse to let him carry it. "Lets go back, I'm big enough to carry it!" The noviced picked up the rabbit, and she was pleased to see it didn't quite drag as much as it used to, like when she was younger. She had grown a bit, however, she wouldn't grow much more. Not wanting to wait, she flicked her ear to head back to camp.

Crowstar's eyes gleamed as he slowed a bit to let Littlestep catch up. He knew the smaller warrior would have a harder time catching up to him, but that wasn't her fault. Crowstar yelled as he ran,"Race to camp?"

Silverpelt coughed a bit, and she went to sleep. She dreamed about before the clans were part of Iceclan.

Ashfire just playfully rolled his eyes as the ginger novice walked away from him. Quickly he padded to catch up to her and together they walked in silence towards camp. The large tom hated silence between him and anyone as he always felt as though he should be talking, but he just didn't have anything to say. No comments on how she could do better, nothing about her form, and definatly no comment mentioning the rabbit again.


Littlestep noticed Crowstar slow down, she didn't like it when others tried to ajust to her pace as she tried to meet their's, though she always knew her clanmates would go easy on her because she was a runt. Nodding to Crowstar she forced herself forward to just about meet his previous speed, "You're on." She called out to him as her paws hit the ground again and again.

Scarletpaw felt the silence between her and Ashfire as they walked. It wasn't like she could say much, however, with the rabbit she carrying. However, she could try. "Is it... different? Being a warrior? Is it better?" Scarletpaw's words were muffled as she spoke, however, they were hearable. The apprentice had always imagined her life as a warrior, but now that warriors were combatants, was it different? Was it as great as it seemed?
