> Sugar Plum smiled back at him. "That's a strange coincidence," she said joyfully, her gaze moving towards the window. "I just can't wait for it to be spring," she sighed, staring at the snow covered sidewalk. A heavy cloud drifted over the sun, and the rain kicked up from a sprinkle to a heavy rain. Lightning flashed, and she shivered, remembering the storm that had ruined her family's house. "I don't like storms," the Squill murmured.

He jumped back when he heard lightning. "Oh wow, I should get going." He said then stopped when he saw Sugar Plum shiver. "Are you okay? I would offer to stay with you but you just met me." He said, his tail twitching.

> Sugar Plum wanted to accept Spices offer, but she was getting drowsy. "It's okay, I'm fine," she answered. "I've just had some bad times with storms. You'd better get going before the wind picks up," she concluded, yawning at the last word.

He nodded and opened the door. He quickly ran out and when he did, his scarf slipped off his neck and onto the pathway to close Sugar Plum's doorstep. He didn't notice as he kpt on running till he reached his house. He fumbled a bit with the key but eventually unlocked it. He got inside and closed the door behind him with a sigh of relief. He leaned against the door and slid down till he sat on the doormat. He slowly got up only to retrieve a towel from the bathroom to dry his soaking wet fur. He realized his scarf was gone when he felt for it and jumped to the window. He searched frantically for it outside.

> Sugar Plum watched from the window as Spice left, and sighed. She started to leave, but then something orange caught her eye as it fluttered in the wind. Moving back to the window, she reconized it. It was Spice's scarf! Running out into the storm, she slammed the door and saw it, curled around a tree. She grabbed it and called, "Spice! Were are you? You left your scarf!" and ran to his house. Before she reached it, she bumped into Spice and almost fell, but saved herself. "Oh, I'm so sorry!" she said, Spice's features blurred by the rain. "Here, you left your scarf." Sugar Plum handed the orange scarf over to Spice.

He fell over when Sugar Plum bumped into him. "Ah, what the- Oh! My scarf!" He said and took it out of Sugar Plum's paws. He hugged Sugar Plum. "I'll be sure to make it up to you. Right now, I'll escort you back to your home." He said and nudged Sugar Plum with his nose as he walked to her door step. He closed his eyes shut when a strong wind rushed by and his fur began to weigh him down. He barely opened one eye and managed to open Sugar Plum's door which swung open.

{ Whoops, my bad. I thought he went outside because you said, "He searched frantically for it outside." But he was looking in the window. xD

> Sugar Plum was shocked when Spice hugged him, and relaxed for a moment before a cold wind blew her. "It's alright," she said, but a loud thunder rolled over the sky like a beating drum. Lightning split the sky, and as she reached her doorstep she saw a tree was on fire; the sparks were bright and flying. It was soon extinguished by the heavy pounding rain. The tree toppled over, and as Spice opened her door, she shoved him into her house and ran after him. The tree scraped her left foot, and she held back a scream. Pain seared through the scar as she tumbled inside and shut the door. The Squill got up and saw Spice on the ground, and locked the door. She reached out a paw to Spice. "Are you okay?" she asked him, worrying more about him than the pain inflicted on her from her foot that was bleeding onto the wooden floor.

He heard a loud crash and felt the heat of flames. He was about to turn his head when he was forcefully shoved inside the house. He heard the door slam shut which was when he opened his eyes. He shook his head and looked up. He saw Sugar Plum holding out her paw as she asked if he was alright. He grabbed her paw and pulled himself up. "Yeah I'm fine." He reassured her. He then sniffed the air only to find Sugar Plum's left foot bleeding out. He quickly began to search for some bandages.

> Sugar Plum was relieved that Spice was fine. Another flash of pain surged through her foot. As Spice started to walk away, she panicked. "Where are you going?" she asked, her voice crackling with sadness and pain. Lightning flashed through the sky and the thunder following it shook the house. The rain pounded against the roof harder than ever and the lights flickered out.

He opened a cupboard and found gauze. He grabbed it and quickly came back to Sugar Plum. "Shh, it might sting for a moment. Trust me, it'll be okay." He told her. He then gently lifted her left foot and wrapped the gauze around the wound. He chewed off the remainder of the gauze and put a safety pin through the bandage to hold it together. He lifted his head and sat down. "It should be better now." He said and gave a gentle smile.
