"Not in my class." Valentine muttered, unsure whether he was pleased because he very much disliked this girl or annoyed because he knew very few people on the campus. Shrugging this aside he hurried up the stairs, making his way to his class while whistling under his breath and tossing the ring up and down methodically. When he saw Yami standing by the stairs he paused and glanced at her for a second or two then shrugged and continued on his way, not bothering to say anything.

Yami heard him coming up the stairs; it was impossible not to tell his step from the others. He stopped for a second, but then they continued. She rolled her eyes as he passed, and stepped after him, reaching for his arm. "Look. I need to ask you something," she said almost annoyed but tried to say as innocently as possible.

Valentine made no move to pull his arm away but did gaze down at where Yami touched him, raising an eyebrow slightly before glancing up at the girl again. "Yeah, what do you want?" He complained, seeing no reason to waste his time in this corridor talking with her. Yes, Yami was pretty, but in his opinion pretty girls were meant for viewing and maybe working, generally not conversation that didn't involve either of the previous two items on the list. "If this is about Sam or whatever I really don't care that she's so pissed off with me, not my problem if she overreacts."

Yami jumped into the coversation as fast as she could, "Yes, it is about Sam, but no she isn't pissed." She placed her arm at her side again, and continued, "Do you like her?" She wanted to continue and list the reasons that he obviously liked her, but she didn't due to the crunch of time.

Samantha sighed. She sat down and began to tap her finger while staring out the window....still bored. She grabbed some paper and pencil and began to draw a visious wolf baring its teeth after just eating its kill, its teeth still bloodided from the carcass. Chains wrapped around its dull black body and its eyes shown bright red. It had scars on some parts of its body that were just barely visible but once seen, anyone would instantly know what it was. It had no background. No color. Yet Samantha liked it all the while. She was proud of it. Her pencil suddenly rolled off the table so Samantha set the picture on the window sill and bent down to pick it up. When she went to get back the picture, it was gone. The wind had taken it hostage forever. Since Samantha couldn't see it she couldnt comand the wind to bring it back. She sat down, enraged, her Rose-self already beginning to poke through. The wind began to stir rappidly in the room and Samantha's eyes began to blaze a fierce fire blue. That's as far as it went as she tried to keep calm.

"What, Sam?" Valentine resisted the urge to laugh sarcastically, cruelly at the comment. Of course Yami didn't know... "I barely know her, Madam Dark. And newsflash, I act like that with most girls." He pointed out with a cocky smirk. Yes, he did like Sam, but no more than he liked the majority of females attending the school. Of course he had bothered to learn her name after their first brief acquaintance on their first day, and had bothered to talk with her in the commons not an hour ago, and had even been as cautious as possible when fighting her so as to avoid any injuries should his bullets even hit. But like her? No... of course not. "Why?" His tone slightly less confident, Valentine mentally kicked himself for letting his thoughts wander so far and in such an... undesirable direction.

Samantha pulled out her DS from her bag and began to play, but she cursed when the battery began to die. She rubbed her hand over her face and didnt care about the teacher anymore. She went to the dry erase board and wrote that she went to the rest-room. She took the pass that was sitting near the door and walked out into the hallway. She yawned in boredom as she wandered around in search of the waterfountain that should be near the restroom. Samantha swung her bag to and fro and looked out almost every window she passed by in search of what was outside.

Yami couldn't help but roll her eyes again, "It's obvious. Very obvious," she said with her tone as accusingly as possible. She stood with her hand on her hip as if she was annoyed, which she really wasn't. Being short than most, she had too look up at the metal Rose, and she continued to what she was saying, "You treated her differently than you treated me, which I strike as suspicious. Besides, if you did like Sam, I'd have to kill you for being a pervert." The smirk on her face was growing.

Valentine quickly returned the look, refusing to let this girl get the better of him. "Do you know how many times I hear that a week? if any of you girls held up your threats I'd be a zombie ten times over by now." He retorted, rolling the ring between his fingers absently as he spoke, the metal icy cold against his skin despite being in contact with his body heat all day. "Anyway, that all you've got to say? If I'm late to class again I'll be stuck cleaning the classroom for a week."

"I take that as a yes," Yami said turning to walk back to her class. When she got there she walked into the bustling classroom, but the first thing she noticed was that Embry and Kana weren't there yet. "Yankess, you never know what they'll do," she mumbled under there breath. She sat at her desk, and laid her head down, waiting for class to start.
