William was about to answer when a girl came stomping down the stairs. She seemed upset almost like the other girl had. Apparently, they weren't even important enough for the crew to care about them either. Frowning thoughtfully, William stood, placing a hand on the wall to steady himself, and looked over at the girl.
"But why? Why let us roam when we could easily jump ship?" He asked, wincing slightly as his throat protested against swallowing and talking. So far the day kept going down hill. Who knew where it would be by dinner time? William looked hesitantly at the door way of the cell before stepping through it, surprised at how much energy and courage it took. The girl looked deadly - like she wanted to slit his throat just for being there. It made him slightly mad, of all things. Did he ask to be put on this ship? No. Did he ask to be her problem? No. Did he ask to be even further away from his younger sister? No... William shook his head slightly, cursing his fate, and looked towards the other boy briefly. He doubted the girl would let them starve. The captain wouldn't allow his prisoners to be starved, would he? And what ship was he one? Why was he still alive? Those questions and more burned in William's mind but he forced them away. Given enough time and patience, he was sure he could get through it all. So he reminded himself simply of breathing. There wasn't much a prisoner could do so he might as well stick to what he knew. Which wasn't much. He'd never been on a pirate ship, much less as a prisoner, so he could only imagine how different things would be. William kept his feet firmly planted so he wouldn't sway with the ship and his terrible headache. Hopefully, a spot of food and water would help it a little more. William had a feeling his headache wouldn't go away until maybe a few days. No one had ever exactly knocked him unconscious before...

The wind tousled Rosetta's feathers, causing her to shiver slightly, but it was almost enjoyable. Even if she wanted to not think about a think her thoughts drifted towards the rade last night. Why did they keep some humans alive? The Captain still hadn't said anything about it but she figured by the end of the day he would make an annoucement. He didn't want a mutiny on his hands now did he? Not that anyone on board would but they could always threaten. That was what pirates did. Almost all talk and no bite. Except for a few rare cases like the Phantom. And Rosetta was glad for it. She wasn't ready to die. There was too much to do, too much to see. And even if she would never say it, she still hadn't fallen in love yet. Sure a crush here and there but they needed lasted. Rosetta gave her wings a little flap before resting them on the warm deck once more. She was thinking too deeply. Then again, when didn't Rosetta have a deep thought brewing in her mind? Almost never. Even her dreams were complicated that she always enjoyed trying to solve. It was something to keep her on her feet, logical thinking and always a little myth to help all the pieces fit into place. With having wings and being who she was, there wasn't a day that didn't pass where Rosetta didn't think about her mother. What she looked like, why she left, why she stayed so long, and even why she bothered with her father. She loved him and all but why did he capture an angel's hearts of all people? Though she was awfully glad he did. Rosetta quite enjoyed the ability to fly. It was like nothing almost anyone would ever experience. And it was something that she would never give up.
