I'm super paranoid because the last two years (not counting this year, and this is my first CAAA SS) all of the SSs I did I got nothing in return, so I'm freaking every time someone posts on the thread and I didn't get a PM

Oh my gosh this is exactly how I feel
It's only my second year, and last year I had a good ss, but seeing all the art and such I can't help but worry cx

Just a suggestion for next year's SS, maybe have tiers like Plumies does, so people get grouped with other people who plan on doing the same amount of work. Because the current values are pretty vague.

It's an idea but I don't think it's really a solution... Because what if something happens and you then can't meet that extended minimum?
What if you have less time than you thought, or you struggle to get art of their characters? Plus it's additional pressure on the individual.
I'm just saying, it seems like it could have more problems to it than everyone is looking at.

Well I waited a few weeks after Christmas last year. January something. Then I found out I was getting nothing.
But you shouldn't worry right now XD I mean, it's not even Christmas day yet. Plenty of people are waiting to send. Like myself, I don't send until at least the 25th my time.

well i dont think that my secret santa did nothing for me, i'm just aching to know who my secret santa actually is! i'm really excited to find out who it might be and i'm just watching everyone who pops in and says they have given their gift and i'm just bouncing in my seat as i scratch names of the mental list i have

i'd be surprised to not get it on christmas, but not super worried
i'd assume if i didn't get it for christmas, that it'll be on my birthday [considering it's p close to christmas]
after my birthday, then i'd get a bit worried ovo
i sent mine early this year, mainly because i was worried i'd forget, and i'm aware of my SS time zone anyway - they would've probably seen it on the 24th even if i PMed it to them right before i went to bed xD

@next year SS discussion, i personally agree as to what sola said. nobody can really know how busy they'll be :>

There could be people who sign up to be speed artists and make art for those who can't make their tier minimum. I know I'd do it for free, and others could do it for pets or dA points or whatever. If there's even a chance that you won't be able to make a higher tier minimum, then you shouldn't request it. It'll teach responsibility

The more SS art I see posted the more excited AND worried I get! lol
Last year during one of the character secret santas I participated in my gifter didn't send their stuff until at least a week after the end date. I was worried but they came through in the end c:
I'm waiting until tomorrow (Christmas day) to send out my SS gifts!
