This Christmas break, my goal in between school semesters is to get my character site updated with all of my new art (and possibly my new characters as well.) It's going to be quite a task...

When a character has additional art, do you feel that it raises it's value? Does it make you more inclined to buy the character, or pay more for it?

Yeah! While buying right for a character you also gain right to use the arts they have, right? So if they have lot of arts or very high quality they should be more expansive.

Mmhmm. I think it does raise it depending on how quality the art is~ Like, if it's just one really messy sketch of circles and ovals then, no, it doesn't raise the price, but if it's something recognizable I think it would ouo

Its getting late, ugh, I should so go to bed but instead I'm looking at all your amazing characters.

Does anyone have any characters for sale designed by Deerborne on DA? They've been one of my favourite artists for a while but I can't seem to find any characters by them, will look at anything but the design must be by them.

For me it depends, like if someone buys a character for 500 points gets it two pieces of art then tries to sell in for like 3000 I don't think that's fair or if all of its art is colour ins on free lines and they try to charge loads then I don't tend to buy unless I really like the design and I have seen one or two characters where the art has made me not buy it because its been NSFW or something. Most of the time though I'd say it adds some value, commissioned pieces more so that pieces the owner has drawn themselves because they've paid for the commissions.

One person claimed a female, and another has first pick of the litter.

They're only for da points or USD. Not art, characters, or pets (though this might change).
So far i don't have a set price for them, so ill decided a price/ you can offer what you think its worth after the final design. They're all older than Avrel. They'll be rules, but ill write all those out later.

Mmm yep. I think it does. To me, anyways. When a character has addditional art, I tend to want to pay more for it, since the art itself has its own value, which at least a portion of should be added to the price of said chara. The price should also depend on the quality of the art though. (e.g. a chara with perhaps...5? pieces of low-quality trad art will be worth less to me than a chara with 1 piece of o-k digital art)

Also got a character from them which I've been eyeing for a while but been unable to afford.
