Jake gasped slightly when the stranger outside called out. He looked to Carter and whispered, "should we answer?"

Carter looked between Jake and the door, shrugging his shoulders while shaking his head. "They might try to break in to investigate the noise, so it's better to answer now behind a door than later at gunpoint or something," he answered softly, then cleared his throat to speak up. "Yo! Yeah, uhm, just me and my buddy are in here, so don't, uh, don't worry about us. Yeah."
Mentally, Carter slapped himself. Way to sound manly and persuasive. Yeah, right.

Okami sighed and waited for Bryan or Caspian to lead them away. Her stomach growled, "Shhh."

Kellin tucked the pistol in the back of his pants and pulled his shirt over it. "Come out." He said, his pink eyes staring at the door that seemed to contain the boys.

Bryan stood beside Okami and smiled, waiting for Caspian.

Jake looked at Carter nervously before going to the door. He unlocked it and opened the door before slowly coming out of the room. He looked at the male outside and studied him.

Caspian smiled and tried to avoid laughing after what he heard. "okay, why don't we try going this way then?" he said as he started walking.

"Geeze," Carter mumbled as he closed his pocket knife and shoved it in his back pocket. He followed Jake out, feeling more than just a little bit stressed at the situation. He subtly motioned for Merik to stay, and the large dog sat, though he didn't relax one bit. Carter looked over the guy who was making demands, and frowned slightly. He was expecting some gun wielding maniac, but it was just another kid. Why was it that only kids were around here, anyway?
