> Sugar Plum woke up in a small apartment room. Her alarm clock was beeping, and it read, 8:00. Yawning, she got up from bed and threw her covers carelessly onto the mattress. The Squill walked into the restroom and brushed her teeth with a minty paste. She left her apartment and locked it, heading down the hallway towards the elevator. Once she was down to the main floor, she headed to a restaurant called Catnip Diner to eat a meal. Sugar Plum stopped at a traffic light, pushing the button and waiting for the walk signal.

Spice was in the café ordering his favorite beverage which happened to be vanilla spice. He normally is an early bird and loved to get a head start on the day. He nodded a 'thank you' to the cashier when she handed him his vanilla spice. He put a dollar on the counter and an extra one as a tip before settling down in a booth. He then glanced out the window and watched the traffic go by.

> Sugar Plum immediately stepped forward as the signal said to walk. Picking up her pace, she soon reached the door to the diner. Stepping in, a warm scent of vanilla spice washed over her nose, but it was quickly gone. Sugar Plum stepped into the short line, and when it was her turn, ordered a few slices of warm, buttery cinnamon bread. Once it was delivered to her, she payed the cashier and left to take a seat in a booth. She was stunned when she saw there were no more tables left; she felt people staring at her as she stood in the middle of the room, her plate of food in her hands. She flattened her ears and blushed in embarrassment, just standing there. At one time a table was open, but another Orb Cat claimed it before she could get to it. Many people were staring at her now, and even a worker shot her a weird glance. The Squill waited uncomfortably for a table to open up, but none did. Sugar Plum just stood there, in the middle of the restaurant.
