"Aw, you'd get caught and you know it," Case replied, "Been all high-security-like since I got caught that one time, you know,"
He grimaced at the thought of his punishment. Since you've been eating so much, you won't mind it if you skip a few meals, right? Casey shuddered.

He said it so innocently, like getting hit was just a normal, every day occurrence here in the orphanage. Suddenly, her drowsiness was replaced by unease, and a horrible knot started to form in her stomach as waves of protectiveness washed over her. Percy was one of the only people she considered family.
She nods, grabbing the little boy's hand, "Of course! Come on, let's go. We just have to be quiet when we walk past her door, alright?"

She was a late-sleeper.
She woke up and.dressed up, getting ready for a.day full of annoying children.
She was hoping to give some of the stupid and annoying monsters away to some stupid people willing to punish themselfs with these crying "children".
In her eyes they werent children, but objects she wanted to get rid of. She
wasnt somebody to care about their "feelings", she didnt have time for that. And everybody stealing her time had to be punished.
Some people may womder why she owns an orphanage when she hates children?
Theres a simple answer to this question: they worked for her. The people who came to adopt them didnt know, and the people who knew didnt care.
Children were easy to controle.
She walked down the stairs to the first boys room.
Then to the next one and then to the next one. She stopped in every room and shouted "Time to go working! Get up, stupid, lazy children!"

Soren ~~ Fifteen ~~ Case

Soren remembered back to when he heard Esther's yelling from the kitchen, and when he found out it was because she caught Case in the act, he was sure some kid was going to die that night. The old woman's fury was that intense, Ren wasn't even kidding. "Yeah..." His voice trailed off, briefly glancing over at the door to make sure nobody was listening in to their conversation. Before he could even reply, he heard the caretaker's rotten shouts echoing through the house. Oh great -- The Witch was awake. Soren grimaced at the mere sound of the woman's voice, and he mumbled, "She's awake." Everybody in the orphanage knew exactly what that meant.

Casey Morgan • 17 • Alone

He jumped when he heard the lady start yelling and gripped the bottle of water he had in his hands, looking around frantically. She was the one thing that could actually get his heart racing, and it hurt like heck. He groaned slightly in literal pain and shuffled weakly out of the kitchen towards the living room to find someone who could possibly help him.

Storm jumped when The Witch's screams traveled to her ears, and she shakily pushed the sandwich she had been making into her sister's hands. "Eat quickly. The Witch is making us work today." she said quietly to her sister, wondering to herself whether there was a way for her sister to escape this. She remembered one time when Julie had the stomach flu and had been made to work anyway, and her hands balled into little fists. She hated that lady, she was sure of it. But there was simply nothing she could do to avoid her or the child labor she forced on the children.

Julie nodded to her sister and began silently devouring the sandwich. She hated that the lady made them work, but she hated how she treated people even more. The thing she hated most of all, though, was how quickly The Witch could make her sister's smile disappear. When she was done with the sandwich, she reached her arms up to her sister again and smiled as she was picked up.

Percy - Samantha
Percy nodded and held her hand. Suddenly, he heard her yell. Uh oh...
The little boy quickly looked around for something... Ty. Where was his bunny stuffy? He needs him. The monster was coming! Frightened Percy hid himself behind Sam, still holding her hand. Then he realized that he didn't need to go potty anymore... Because he peed his pants in fright.... again. Luckily for Sam, Percy wasn't close to her when it happened... But she was coming...

She doesn't know if it was because she was scared, but she swears that she could hear The Witch's feet thundering through the halls. Her grip tightened around Percy's as she ushered him quietly to the kitchen, quickly handing him a small pastry and a cup of water before taking a mop and a bucket from the supply closet. Her actions were boxy and clunky, and she almost tripped on something laying down on the floor. She closes her eyes, Deep breaths, deep breaths, deep- Great, now she was hyperventilating.

Casey Morgan • 17 • Percy, Sam

He bumped into a girl on his way out of the kitchen and stopped, looking down and seeing a scared Percy. He quickly took his ore hand and helped them both retreat I to the room, tapping the girl's shoulder and pointing to one of he cupboards. It was big enough for them to hide in if they needed, and it had a secret compartment he'd found awhile ago that lead up to his room. Quite handy when he didn't want to be seen.
