Váli hummed as they toyed with their curls, fixing them so that they weren't as frizzy from being in a bun for most of the morning. They blinked and stopped running their fingers through their curls. "Ah, I see something beautiful and want to draw or paint it. I just find a muse. Whether it's a strong emotion or an object, I find one." they answered with a shrug. "I can show you later if you like...?" they trailed off, not sure if he would accept the offer.

"Ah, I see something beautiful and want to draw or paint it. I just find a muse. Whether it's a strong emotion or an object, I find one." they answered with a shrug. "I can show you later if you like...?" they trailed off, not sure if he would accept the offer.

"Sure!" Pol finished making several sandwiches. "I love art. Though, I tend to express that through miss." He smiled. Putting the sandwhich supplies away, he grabbed two water bottles from the fridge and placed them in his backpack along with the sandwiches. He double checked the bag. Everything seemed ready to go. Pol slung his backpack on and picked up his mug of tea. "Ready to go?" he asked, turning to Váli. "You can bring your mug."

Váli grabbed their mug and quirke an eyebrow at Pol. "Where exactly are we having our picnic?" they asked and glanced at the backpack. It was large and looked pretty heavy. They took a step forward and frowned. "I can carry that if you need help." they suggested and pointed to the large backpack. "I mean, I'm your guest so I should probably help out. And you gave me the moss..." they trailed off and shuffled their feet. Yeah. Seemed reasonable.

Váli grabbed their mug and quirke an eyebrow at Pol. "Where exactly are we having our picnic?" they asked and glanced at the backpack. It was large and looked pretty heavy. They took a step forward and frowned. "I can carry that if you need help." they suggested and pointed to the large backpack. "I mean, I'm your guest so I should probably help out. And you gave me the moss..." they trailed off and shuffled their feet. Yeah. Seemed reasonable.

Pol hefted the backpack even higher. "Oh don't worry about it," he said, standing a little straighter. He nodded and smiled resolutely. "I've got the backpack. As for where we're going, would you be interested in the park?" Glancing at Váli, Pol noticed how eager she had seemed and decided that maybe she could help. It was kinda sweet anyway. "Actually, I'd really appreciate it if you could grab the picnic blanket." He pointed back down the hallway, where the blanket sat by the front door.

Váli quirked an eyebrow at him. "The park sounds nice. Actually, I haven't been there yet." they admitted and glanced down the hallway, following the direction that his finger was pointing in. Their grin stretched and they hurried down the hallway to grab the blanket, tucking it under their arm and holding the mug in the other hand.

Váli quirked an eyebrow at him. "The park sounds nice. Actually, I haven't been there yet." they admitted and glanced down the hallway, following the direction that his finger was pointing in. Their grin stretched and they hurried down the hallway to grab the blanket, tucking it under their arm and holding the mug in the other hand.

Pol followed Váli down the hallway and opened the door. He motioned her through. "Don't worry," he said, "I haven't been either. It'll be our adventure." He flashed a grin. Pulling the door behind them, Pol suddenly felt awkward. "I mean, in all my books, characters are always better friends after an adventure of sorts." He grimaced. That definitely didn't help. "Anyway, on to the park!" Hopefully Váli wouldn't notice...

Váli stepped out of the way as he opened the door. They nodded and listened as he continued to talk. They didn't mind him talking so much. I thought we were already friends... they thought, but pushed the thought aside. They had only just met him, so they understood. "I hope the park is pretty. Like your garden." they murmured and shifted the blanket under their arms as it started to slip some. "Ah, I mean, your garden is definitey more beautiful. I could stare at it for hours-" they stopped themself before they could continue rambling. It wouldn't help.

Váli stepped out of the way as he opened the door. They nodded and listened as he continued to talk. They didn't mind him talking so much. I thought we were already friends... they thought, but pushed the thought aside. They had only just met him, so they understood. "I hope the park is pretty. I could stare at it for hours-" they stopped themself before they could continue rambling. It wouldn't help.

Pol blushed and nearly tripped, spilling his tea a little. "Ah, well, yes, I mean, thank you. And I think the park is pretty." As they headed out of the neighborhood, Pol frantically searched for a topic that wouldn't make him sound silly. "Um, so what's your favorite place here so far?" he asked. I am really original today, he lamented. Biting back a sigh, he looked over at Váli. He didn't know her very well, but at the same time it felt like he knew her perfectly.

Pol nearly sighed with relief when Váli didn't comment on the tea. Either she was really unobservant, or very kind and good at hiding reactions. He suspected the latter of the two. "Hm, well my favorite place is your house." Rushing on before it could get awkward, Pol explained, "I mean, you exist there. And currently, you're my favorite part about this town." He bumped her shoulder as they walked. "Therefor, your house is my favorite place. He grinned cheekily.
