Riley is not your usual level headed sweetheart. In fact,
she's probably just the opposite. She has ill-tempered,
hot-headed, cold-hearted, stubborn, and above all very
very mercurial. One minute she may be actually
enjoying listening to what you have to say and the next
she could be out of her seat in rage and storming off.
Riley also has a very sarcastic tongue and most likely
can't pass off a single conversation without a snide remark
or sarcastic response. She has grown so accustom to it
that sarcasm and rudeness are the languages she speaks.
She's also very mischievous and loves to look for trouble
or cause it. It's one of the things that pleases her and
makes her a good prankster. She is also quite stubborn
and selfish. Trying to get her to stop from doing a prank
or something she has already planned on doing, may not
be the best idea. Curiosity is one of her better traits, but
it's not exactly a positive. It's one of the things that drives
her into doing what she likes and what also gets her into
trouble a lot. But it's a good trait to have. Because without
it, she may not even be alive right now. Mystery is not
exactly a positive trait either, but it keeps her going. It's
one of the things that brings a smile to her face. She likes
to solve puzzles and create them for others. For example,
she may not come off right away and tell you her name,
but rather let you figure it out whether or not you have a
clue. One of her major annoyances are perky and optimistic
people, especially if they are girls. She just doesn't seem
to get along with girls as well as she does boys. It may be
because she's a little bit of a tomboy, wearing mostly tees
and jeans.

All in all, Riley can be described in a few sentences.
One being that talking to her is like lighting a short
fuse, the only difference being that you know when
the the bomb will go off. The other is more of a
warning label. If you don't like looking for trouble,
causing it or just being apart of it, it's best to keep
away from her and her mischievous schemes and she
won't drag you down with her.

Being that she is very mysterious and a bit hot-headed,
Riley is not one about to open up about her past. It's
not that she has any pathetic sob story that she is too
afraid to share because she thinks everyone will pity
her. It's more that she just doesn't want people to
know about her, an easier way to disappear if she had
to. But there is some part of her that she doesn't want
anybody to know because of what she did or what
someone else did to her. Now again it isn't anything sad
or depressing, but it's something she doesn't exactly feel
comfortable sharing.
Because of a small incident in her past, Riley is now has
an irrational fear of water. You will not catch her out
on any sort of body of water anytime soon either.
Although she won't tell anybody about her crime or why
she was caught. But she did have a crime otherwise she
would not be in the prison with everyone else. Before
Riley was caught, she had been a con artist and well off.
She'd steal identities to pull off some of them, but also
to stay hidden. She had managed to wipe her slate clean
so nobody could find her, but she was still caught and
that is what she will not share.

Samantha was born to a fairly well-to-do family and lacked very little during her childhood. She received an excellent education, more than enough love and affection, and the freedom to do almost whatever she wanted. Of all the things Sam had, however, her dogs were by far her favorite. When Samantha was eight, just after moving from England to America, her parents bought her a male Belgian malinois which she promptly named Scout. It was clear that, even at a young age, this girl was excellent with animals. When she was fifteen she purchased for herself two more dogs for a bargain price, this time a brother and sister pair with the names Hawthorn and Rose, respectively. Samantha is particularly smart and when she bought Rose and Hawthorn, she was in eleventh grade instead of ninth. She graduated from college at age 20 and shortly found herself working at Montgomery Gate Penitentiary as the dog handler despite being younger than most would expect.

Sam is very mature and always has been. She does, however, often make decisions hastily and acts on her impulses and emotions, the latter of which are in no shortage. She is very easily stressed and worries about everything, even going as far as to worry about not worrying. Sam is outgoing and friendly, though it is true she has a sharp tongue and short temper. Even if she does not really like someone, she will often go out of her way to be helpful to that individual and is generally considered to be a kind, likable person. Samantha cares a lot about what others think of her and does her absolute best to stay on the good side of everyone. She is, however, very stubborn and most likely will not yield to someone if she does not agree with what they want her to do or who they want her to be, even if that means she gains an enemy. She sees being someone else's idea of perfect as much less important than being herself and who she wants to be. She once took quite the opposite view on the matter, but now she sees the importance of being herself. Sam is a tomboy, no doubt about it. She loves to get down-and-dirty, which is not a bad thing considering that she works with dogs. Most people think of Samantha as fearless because she puts on an act of confidence, but in truth, Sam has more irrational phobias than even her closest friends realize. Her most prominent phobia is Acrophobia, or the fear of heights. However, Sam does her best to overcome her fears when she must. Oddly enough, she is not frightened by death or the prisoners of Montgomery Gate, while most people would find these two things terrifying, especially the latter, considering just how dangerous most of the convicts are. It is a bit strange how she has very few, if any, fears of things she encounters in her work environment, even after the break-out, and yet is terrified by many far less frightening things.

Generally Samantha wears a T-shirt (often with the image of an animal), boot-cut blue jeans, and black combat boots. She also has a blue hoodie that she really likes and often has it on for no particular reason. Sam also has glasses because of her otherwise extremely blurry eyesight. She will try to carry a gun on her person at all times, though she avoids using it when possible. Sam also has a Leatherman Wave multi-tool that she uses mainly just to fix things, considering that the blades are too short to be of much use as a weapon, and (being a devout Christian), she carries around a small ESV Bible when she can. She does not read it publicly but likes to have it nearby.

Robert's family is not anything out of the ordinary. They were not rich or notable in pretty much any way. His father, Steven, was a soldier in the US army who had been forced to retired due to a gunshot injury received in combat and his mother was an engineer. Steven had a love for weapons, especially guns, and bought Rob a BB gun for his tenth birthday. The boy fell in love with the weapon and, a number of years later, he had amassed a fair sized collection of blades and firearms. Shortly after Robert turned sixteen, his father was practicing his shooting skills. Steven somehow managed to shoot himself and, while the shot was not lethal, he died of blood loss before he could be taken to an ER. For about a year after that, Rob refused to use any of his guns or his crossbow but eventually his love for shooting weapons overcame his desire to hide form his father's death. Since then he has honed his skill with weapons to near perfection. He had a variety of jobs before arriving at Montgomery Gate and was promptly fired from all of them for a number of reasons. In fact, his current job is the only one he has managed to keep for more than a month. He started working at the Prison about two and a half years ago and, considering his personality as well as interests, the job is perfect for him .

Robert can come across as insufferably self-confident and rude because that is exactly what he is. He prides himself on his sharpshooting abilities and likes to talk about his skill at every possible time. Most people would immediately turn him down as an employee but since Montgomery Gate Penitentiary is prison for dangerous convicts, people skills are not really the first priority and his dexterity with firearms of all kinds makes him extremely useful in his current occupation. He worries about little except his reputation and the welfare of his weapons. Robert does not consider other people very important and acts as though his life is far more important than anyone else's. He is generally not very friendly and he works his subordinates much harder than he should. However, their hard work pays off and his team is very accurate, not to mention dangerous. Rob is a hard worker, no doubt about it. He puts as much effort into his work as could be expected of him and, now that the power has gone out and the prisons are roaming free, he works even harder. He trusts almost no one and is heavily self-dependent. Robert has a short temper and a sarcastic, often morbid sense of humor. He is prone to snap whenever someone says something he does not like and looks down on those who think differently than he does. Rob does not like people to ask him questions about himself; he would rather learn about others instead of disclosing information that could be used against him. He does, however, make known his opinions and does not care if he is the only one with that ideology. To him, he is the right one and everyone else is wrong. He does not cope well with being proven wrong (which happens more than he likes to admit) and usually ends up raging at the next person he meets. Generally, Robert is not an easy person to get along with.

Rob can usually be seen wearing a baseball cap. He has quite the collection of caps and rarely wears the same one two days in a row. Even in sweltering weather, he will wear a leather jacket and he almost always has on blue jeans. His shirts are practically all the same, most of them being solid colors. Robert wears a pair of ratty white tennis shoes wherever he goes. Being obsessed with guns, he tries to keep one with him at all times though he did not have one the day of the power outage and has a knack for leaving his pistol behind when he most needs it.

Since we don't need all characters right away to start, I'm thinking we'll start tomorrow before this RP lapses any further into abandonment. Now that's it's Christmas break and finals are over, I'll actually have time and energy to maintain this thing again. :))
