*sigh* Lost one corry once again(only 4 left). Same symptoms as the previous one I lost some time ago. Got paler than rest(which progress until death), then lost appetite and started to spend time alone, then became very slow(like I could literally catch and hold him in my hand). Died today, symptoms noticed little less than week ago. But because my stupid hand couldn't do much about it. Nor am I even sure if there was anything I could have done seeing that with the last one I tried medicating him, but it didn't help or I was too late. :(

I also have a mystery problem with my panda cories: they stop eating, become lethargic, skinny and finally die. Nothing I have done (different medications, etc) seems to help and no other fish have been touched by whatever this is, just the cories. I started off with five, as of tonight I have only two left. The last two are fat, happy and active like small turbo charged sausages.

I'm not going to bring them any buddies until I'm sure these two are okay. Crossing my fingers and hoping for the best.

I also had problems with my panda cory cats, they all died the same way. My two sterbai cory cats however, whom I had before, during, and after my pandas, are still kickin' and really active, love 'em. They were not affected by whatever the pandas died from. I added two agassizzi cory cats a while back and seemingly have no problems with them. At first they seemed kind of sickly, and I regretted buying them for a few months, but they're fine now and have grown significantly. They have much nicer coloring now than when I bought them, too. Starting to look like bigger versions of my sterbai cory cats. (:

I think the reason my pandas all died was stress, because they're supposed to have really planted housing, and I don't have that many plants. Pandas are probably the most easily stressed of all the cory cats.. but the cutest. Sterbai cory cats don't care about plants, and my agassizzi are supposed to have thick forests of planting too, but they got used to it and are fine now schooling with my sterbais.

I have c. metaes(bandit corries?), in heavily planted tank with nice tree for them to hide under, so it really shouldm't be stress(unless it's because of the small size of the school).
I didn't have any issues with them until summer. They were fat and happy, heck they were spawning once a week. Then because I apparently over fed my fish, the water quality dropped and most corries lost their whiskers and 2 got other infection as well. Out of the 2 one ended up dying because I couldn't get medication in time. Fixed the over feeding and started doing 50% changes every now and then instead of just 30% every time. Still month or two back one corry(who had made through nitrite spike as well, so I just thought it was his time then) and now another one diesd with same symptoms. :/ And all my blue neon tetras and ottos are fine, even though they are supposed to be more sensitive than the corries. So I'm quite clueless of what's going on.

My tank is also well planted and has lots of holey rocks and driftwood, so there are plenty of places to hide. The other fish (neon tetras, guppies and ottos) never bother the cories. My water readings are good, I change the water often (vacuum the bottom), have a huge canister filter and smaller internal filter plus an airstone. No CO2, just a few drops of plant fertilizer every morning. Lights are on timer.

I'm just at a loss.

I probably won't get any more pandas, most likely some other cories to keep my two pandas company.

What is the issue or question?: Basically Fuenciado (the Betta in the photo below) has been become nostalgic and less active. I'm guessing that is because he's getting old. But this is something new that hes started doing. He lays on his back on the water until I come up and disturb him. He's never slept in this place before and never this early in the day. I'm not sure if he's just taking strange naps or I should be worried. Thanks for any help.

I'm assuming you mean he's lethargic? How old is he? Sometimes the tank changes can make fish lethargic. Did he stop swimmimg about after or before your tank change? I must say, he's a gorgeous fish!

When did you set it up? That's what how long has it been running means.
What temperature is the water? Do you have a heater? Filter?
We need to know the ammonia, nitrates, and nitrites. That's how you know if your tank is cycled. So if you cycled it you should know. c:
