Aidah • Phoenix
"Don't yell at me!" Aidah said, standing up straight. The one thing that really set her off and out of her 'cool zone' as she referred to it, was anger. Aidah Hall was calm. Aidah Hall didn't show emotion unless there was a need. In a situation where she was being pressed for answers, Aidah didn't have the capacity to both calmly watch and assess for need. "Just, I can't explain it! Based on the suddenness of your departure, and your defensive attitude, my conjecture is that...is that..." Aidah started to mumble, looking down at her hands. With her flying emotions, and her crazy impulse to follow her gut rather than her mind, Aidah's powers couldn't take it. Her hands were literally smoking, little flames burning on her fingers. She clenched her fists hiding them in the pocket of her hoodie. The corner they had stopped on was now void of people, a little alley off from the main street. Aidah felt angry, but she didn't want to show it. She hated herself for getting involved in something so strange and out of the ordinary on her first day at the school. She took a deep breath, staring at Kaden. "People don't just run off like that. I don't know you, and you have no reason to know or trust me, but trust what I'm saying as the truth. People don't just run off like that because they want to. They run off because they have to, and, believe me, I've had to." Aidah felt the flames on her hand grow larger, singing the inside of her sweatshirt for the second time that morning. She didn't know if these people were in the same boat as her, or if she had totally misjudged and this was just some normal teenage girl crisis. But she had to try. Aidah was done hiding in the background.
