It's hard to tell as the pup isn't grown. The first one, it's up to you if you want to gamble. There are four outcomes of the dog; two are very rare, two are rare. If it turned into a rare outcome, it would be fair for the cat. If it turns into a very rare, it would be unfair to you.
Second one, I'd say unfair to you. Most of the outcomes from the rainbow dog litter are rare, and there's a higher chance of getting a very rare from your pup.
