AppearanceDew Drop Cats are large Felines that are so in-tune with Nature that it has grown on them, quite literally! Their Tails have formed into long Stems that end in a large Leaf, the leaf can Vary between Animals and does change during the Season, the larger leaf falling off in Winter, leaving the Cat with only the smaller Leaf; but it will grow once Spring arrives. These Cats also constantly balance a Bead of Water on their Tail, this is to provide the Leaf, and any other Greenery that might be growing on them with Water, because of this, the drop has to be replenished every couple of Days. The most common areas for growth is the Neck and by the Base of the Tail, but Plants can grow all over! [Especially if the Cat doesn't groom itself to keep Weeds from running wild over its Body]
DietWhile they may be Large Cats, because they are part Plant, they do not need to eat a terribly large amount, they will hunt smaller Animals such as Rabbits, Fish and Mice. Many are also content with eating Berries or Fruits off Trees. [When they eat such things, chances are some of those Plants will start growing on them if any Seeds have fallen on their Hide {But not a whole Tree of course!}]
Life CycleDew Drop Cats are born from Flower Buds or from within Trees. When they are young they stay hidden under dense Shrubbery, only daring to venture out to absorb Sunlight needed to grow. After only a Year though, they are fully grown and ready to move into more open areas. Often they will travel away from their Birth Place to find new Territory and a Mate.
Typically, Dew Drop Cats Mate for Life. To attract a Mate, their Tails produce a sweet aroma to attract each other. Once together, a Bud will form from their Tails which can contain 1 or 3 Seedlings, the Parents will then Plant it and Water it with their on Dew Drops until it has grown close to Blooming, then they will move on to leave the Cub to fend for itself.
The Average Life Span for a Dew Drop Cat is 150 Years, though it can vary. But once they pass on, their Body will decompose into the ground and fertilize the Ground creating a new Bud or Sapling for the Cat to be Reborn.[So in the end it doesn't truly Die]
Other Stuff About ThemDespite being Territorial, Dew Drop Cats are quite social, if they cross Paths with another Cat they might Play together or even groom each other in a Friendly matter.
Grooming is very important to keep Pests from infesting their Plants.
While not very common, there are varieties that live in different places, such as Deserts and Plains, they tend to have smaller Leaves.
Some have been known to befriend Humans, they have a fondness for Gardeners.
