There's a general dislike of kittypets due to the code, which is understandable, but what I was going for more specifically is the fact that Tigerclaw showed no ill will when he was told that Firepaw was a kittypet right when they first met, and then suddenly started insulting him and his ancestry the next day. That's inconsistency - if they wanted to portray him as a generally unpleasant cat, why make him be polite to Firepaw when they first meet?

I haven't read the books in ages but I'm already realising things that I now see were overlooked and I'm enjoying this!
Funnily enough, this is also awesome for someone who likes writing as it lets me see what I might be doing wrong with my characters or settings~

That last sentence is seriously one of the best things I could ever possibly be told, I won't even lie to you. Whenever something I do manages to help or inspire someone, it makes me very happy.

Anyway, I'm glad you're entertained so far. The response I've gotten so far is overwhelmingly pleasant, which is amazing, since I'm harshly criticizing a very popular franchise.

Thank you for that. The mods took care of that little tussle, I do believe - for anyone's curiosity, a person and I had a dispute over gay cat characters.
