Females have also developed the gene for manes, but they never have the full out mane of the typical male lion. Strangely, each lion has a floating companion. Some people believe these creatures act as a sort of conscious. These companions take the shape of sea animals, and the swim through the air following the lion they accompany. These companions are also always monochromatic in color.
