Round 5 Execution wrote:The air was as tense as it was ever going to be, as Murkrow and Hydreigon exchanged glances. Charmander was clearly afraid, and Blastoise was clearly disappointed in the decision. Sending such a young Pokemon to their death was inexcusable, but drastic times called for drastic measures, and it would never be more drastic than this.
"I'm sorry, Charmander. You've been voted out." Blastoise said monotonously. Charmander yelled in protestation, kicking and screaming as she was carried away. Blastoise was cautious about leaving the other two behind; if one of them was the werepokemon and Charmander was innocent, who was to say they wouldn't kill the other while he was performing the execution?
An hour or so passed, and Hydreigon and Murkrow sat in silence. They both wanted to soften the iciness in the air, but neither could think of anything even vaguely appropriate to say. Both of them thought long and hard about the events that had transpired in Firestone village, and both had already made the decision to leave when all this was over; if they could, that is.
When Blastoise returned, he looked as solemn as ever, and both Pokemon tensed up. They immediately glared at one another, their newfound friendship disappearing in an instant at the assumption that the killer was still among them.
"It was Charmander." Blastoise said, almost sighing in relief. Their mutual assumption had been wrong, and their earlier judgement correct. The killer was dead.
Murkrow and Hydreigon both offered to help Blastoise 'clean up' after the mess of the past week, but Blastoise had refused their offer of help. 'There's nothing left to salvage here', he had told them. 'It's time we moved on.'
The two dark-types had gone on their way together - both changed by Firestone Village, but perhaps in the long run better off because of it. They set off together, hoping that they would find somewhere quieter... And taking with them the new knowledge of werepokemon. Perhaps they would make a habit of tracking them down, learning from Charmander's tactics and deducing other hidden killers with it. Or perhaps they were done with it all.
Blastoise did as he always did, moving on to try again. Firestone Village had been a nightmare and a half, but he was a resilient old Pokemon, and he would continue as the other two did. Hopefully his next town would be luckier.
Congratulations to Hydreigon [TekkamanSeraphim] and Murkrow [Blaze Crimson]! You both managed to give this game the dramatic finale it deserved, haha. xD And a good job to Charmander [Laikyn] too for being such a devious killer! ;P
I'll set up the next game shortly, so stick around if you're wanting to play again! :3
