It was too close for her to do anything other than legitimately body-slam into the thin wall of ice, causing it to shatter and for her to trip once or twice before running again. This guy was pretty fast, but Ryuko was faster. "Kalen, what type of magic do you use?" She asked as they ran, scanning the unknown for weak points as she spoke.
