I slowed a bit as we got to where the shortcut was. "Wal-Mart" I said with a chuckle. "But it pays the bills so i guess i cant complain" I shrugged. "Now if you want a quicker way to school just take this side street, It looks like it leads to no where but it takes you right out front of the school. Less cars and people so its safer"

" Are you like trying ot stop me from getting run over...Is that why youre talking to me? Haha , I'm gonna get hit someday anyways. " She whispered , she put her hair behind her ear.

I chuckled and it rumbled in my chest but came out as pretty charming. "That and there isnt too many nice people on these streets, I can tell you that. Im just lookin out for the 'rookie'" I said with a chuckle. Now my body was super cooled off to normal temperature, Living in a state where all you get is rain, its rare that it's dry enough for me to actually use my power. If i do use it on a wet day then my injuries if I sustain any would be ten times worse than normal if not the same as if a normal human would get. Basically it makes me vulnerable. Only on rare occasions are they any worse than a normal pain would be.

I nodded and started to walk to school , my zebra striped shoes thudding against the ground. I was wearing an Owl City T-SHIRT. It was blue with Owl City spelled across it in bold letters with an owl on it. I had a blue headband and black skinny jeans on.

When we got to the end of the road the school was across the street. "Well this is where i leave ya, Gotta get to work. Good luck" I said with a smile and turned and picked up a brisk jog. Something i loved to do since i was a soccer player to keep me occupied in the fall and spring. Though the entire day she stayed on my mind, would I ever run into her again?
