but then his mate ended up being roan
so hes gunna have 10 roan babies
oops XD

but my dun roan boy will have ZERO roan babies and probably only 2 or 3 foals because of his personality.
gah i can't wait to get him ordered <3

Not at all, Carson is only having 2 roan foals. One of which is already here and the next hopefully will be here in a month, and all my future roans I plan to either have no roan foals, or only 1 or 2. Honestly I think the amount of roans is kind of... crazy. Like, they're meant to be rare, but anymore I feel like there's about more roan breedings popping up then anything. =/ So no, I don't think it's mean at all. I think it's a good thing.

XD Don't feel bad at all ellie! I think there are quite a few people who don't want to give out slots for roan babies from their roans or at least are very picky about what they do with them. My boy Christos will likely not open many slots at all and his little sibling that is still coming won't be having any foals at all. Frank admittedly had a lot of babies but my thought with him was that he was more or less a community created idea so I wanted to give back and so I opened more slots than I ever had with any of my equids XD

Since Gull's lineage is so jumbled I don't plan on her having any roan foals unless she takes a mate and he happens to be roan cx There aren't that many honey roans so I don't want to contribute to it going crazy or something

I only gave her slot to one person, and I don't if she'll be able to find a stally not related to her. I hope her brown markings aren't able to be passed down. She's the only blue roan I've seen that has them <3

Elliej1995, as much as I would love a cute little dun roan from your boy i can't say it would be mean because I have a blue stallion planned from my Sage that will only have non roan babies or no babies at all! And any roan babies i get from here on out i will be very picky with. So don't feel bad!

There's no shame in not giving out slots, whether the equid is popular or not! Cantus has a few roam babies, though my foal from her who is roan will have none. My Vesta will have few foal's if any, and Barcelona will only habd foal with her mate. Treating, popular or not, will only have one slot outside of his mate.
