You lied quietly in your bed, too excited to sleep. The thought of Christmas and presents filled your mind. To see your friends smiling and enjoying the day. You smiled, knowing that it was only a few hours now before he came. Your tired eyes closed lightly, knowing that you couldn't stay awake or Santa wouldn't come. Suddenly you heard a noise in the distance. You sat up in your bed, listening to the progressively growing noise. Various objects around your room started to shake. A loud train whistle blew outside your room. You ran to your window, looking excitedly at the yellow squares that slowed outside the glass wall.

It stopped after a short while. Making your way downstairs, you opened your door and looked curiously at the man standing outside. He was tall, far older than you. He called out "All Aboard!"

Ｔｈｅ Ｔｒａｉｎ:

Passenger Carts



Due to the increased population, there are now two passenger carts on the train. They are located behind the kitchen cart, but in front of the Caboose. These carts are always filled with the passengers, unless they are at the North Pole. Younger passengers sit in the front, older passengers in the back.

Caboose:



Commonly empty. Passengers who are shy, or have gotten in trouble are allowed to sit here.

Engine:



There is little room to sit, considering that it was meant for the engineers only. Switches and levers line the wall and floor. A coal cart follows directly behind the engine. You can walk out from the in between space ( between the coal cart and the engine ) to a ramp, which leads to the front of the train.

Roof:



Passengers are not allowed on the roof without the aid of a worker.
It is extremely dangerous; Ice lingers underneath the snow, causing it to become quite slick.

Toy Cart:

An old cart stuffed with tangled puppets, decaying dolls, and broken teddy bears. All the toys are gathered from around the world, to be recycled and given to other children. There are no lights, except for the moonlight that manages to make it's way through the window. A makeshift pathway goes through the center of the cart. This is located in front of the kitchen cart.

Ｔｈｅ Ｎｏｒｔｈ Ｐｏｌｅ:

Town center:


A grand town square, complete with a huge Christmas tree in the very center. The train tracks are located around the tree, circling it. Buildings surround the area, with Santa's grand house located front and center.

Toy Factory:



At the time of arrival for the Polar Express, the factory is usually empty (with the exception of a few last minute workers). There are multiple rooms and hallways to explore. All the presents follow a conveyor belt, to a funnel, to Santa's sack. Some previous passengers managed to explore the wondrous factory.

Accessories? : His signature blue hat, and a old conductors badge. He
also carries a strange golden stopwatch, given to him by his mentor.
Short Bio: As a child, he ended up taking a ride on
the train. The conductor took an interest in him. Seeing as though he was
becoming old, and feared he knew without him the train will not continue.
Arthur remembers stepping off the train for the first time, looking back,
and seeing the conductor smiling at him. From that day on, he went on the
train every single year. Eventually reaching the age of 15, the conductor finally
asked him if he would like to stay on the train and work. He agreed. When the
conductor passed, Arthur promised him that he would be the best darn
conductor he could ever be.

Accessories? : A chef's hat and apron.
Short Bio: He spends most of his time in the kitchen,
making sure all the hot chocolate is properly prepared. He is considered the
oldest on the train, since most of the workers had gotten "replacements". As
a child, he had stumbled upon the kitchen car, and ended up helping the chef's
prepare the hot Chocolate. Ever since then, he had continued to ride the train.
Other: He is the chef of the train. Arthur likes to think
of him as a "show-off"

Short Bio:

Although he sometimes seems otherwise,
he claims he doesn't believe in santa, and
trys to push others on the train to leave
because 'its a waste of time'. Although
it almost never works, no one knows
why he does this anyway. He usually stays
in the back of the train where there is only
some old donated toys. Many claim him as
a ghost, for the pale skin, never is around
anyone, and he scares most of the people
on the train.

Ivan's parents abandoned him, along with his two sisters, so he was raised by his older sister. He was always afraid of Christmas, because he didn't exactly know what it was, and Santa scared him. When he first heard about the Polar Express and where it was going, he didn't want to go, but he somehow got talked into getting on.
