////Plot////

At the start of the series, a young girl attends an endangered species exhibit with her 'crush'. After an earthquake, Her and four other girls were bathed in a strange light. A Bunny appears before Her, then merges with her. The next day she begins acting like a bunny and, after meeting a young man, learns that she was infused with the DNA of the Iriomote Bunny. He explains that this allows her to transform into a Mew, a powerful heroic bunny girl. She is ordered to defeat alien parasites which infect animals and turn them into monsters. He is to instruct her to find the four other girls from the exhibit—the remaining Mew Mews. The five Mew Mews battle the Chimera Animals and their 3 alien controllers.
During a battle with an 'Alien', she was in danger of losing when the mysterious Knight appears and rescues her. He returns periodically throughout, protecting her from various dangers; it is later revealed that the Knight is in fact her 'crush'.
One of the 'Aliens' falls in love with her; he tries to gain her love despite the fact that he is trying to eliminate the other Mew Mews. Two more aliens, later join in trying to destroy the Mew Mews.
