Mani flicked an ear and turned a corner, before breaking into a run. She couldn't get caught, not out here where no one would see.But if only she had began to run earlier, maybe she would've gotten away. But she felt someone grab her and drag her backwards, causing her to fall. She glanced up, the group of guys had caught up.

[hypnowave]

Castor angled himself towards Mani's place, but he noticed her a bit farther away. He made his way to where he thought he'd seen her, and found her with a number of guys, more than last time, on her heels. He swerved closer, although he wasn't too low to be noticed yet. If Mani was able to hold her ground, well...

[ - dramatic music plays in the background - ]

Mani glared at the group, before getting to her feet. "You know, its not nice to group up on one person." She growled, to which one of them sneered. "Its fair to us." He said, and she scowled, standing her ground. She was not expecting to be punched though, especially not in the eye - when had they gained the courage? Why hadn't she blocked it? She didn't know, but not it hurt, and she glared at the one who had thrown the punch before she attacked.

[hypnowave]

Castor snarled as he saw one of the boys punch Mani, and in the eye, no less. He'd had it. He swooped down on his massive wings, although he hadn't landed yet, he felt his anger build up.

[wolf ;;]

Mani thought she heard the sound of...wings? She glanced up, seeing a large shape heading towards the ground, towards them. Of course, she shouldn't have, because one of the guys then proceeded to punch her in the stomach, and it was a hard hit. She doubled over in pain, and growled at them, her ears going back.

[hypnowave]

Castor's ears flattened against the back of his head, and he landed with one fist on the ground. He got up, unaffected by his own entrance, and pointed at the guy who'd hit Mani. You. Me. To the finish. He was no true combatant, but he'd learned to protect himself since youth. Using his massive wings to shield Mani from the other wolves, he proceeded to bring up his knee and hit his opponent's chin with it, his wings helping him do a three-sixty backflip. Then he kicked the wolf in the muzzle, hoping to chip a tooth or two. He kicked the wolf's back, forcing him down, and brought up his fists to challenge the rest of the troop.

Mani was surprised as she saw...Castor? He had landed...and he certainly didn't look happy. She said nothing, and just watched as he fought with the guy who had punched her, and was surprised. The group looked at their fallen friend, and then at Castor, unsure of what to do. Eventually, they grabbed their fallen friend and left.

Castor huffed, then lowered his fists. He crouched down as he noticed something small and shiny on the ground; it was a tooth, or a part of a tooth, part caked in blood. He didn't see any use of it, so he threw it away. A small tooth wouldn't pay for what they'd done to Mani, but he was sure that the guys had had enough fun for one day. Instead, he turned to Mani, concerned for her health. "Are you okay?" he asked. "And do you think they will come back?"

[wolf ;;]

Mani gently felt her eye, the one that had been punched, and cringed slightly - it was hurting, and it was bruising and swelling. "I'm fine." She said, and then she glanced at him. "At least I think I am - it just hurts a bit, thats all." She said softly. "I don't think they'll come back or even bother me for a while now...thank you, for doing that." She said.

[screams i own a jbd QUQ]

[hypnowave]

"But you're hurt," Castor sighed, running his forehead. "And you do not look good either." He wished he'd brought his stuff with him, but he didn't have what he needed to heather. Back home, he could muster enough to stop the swelling, but Mani's house was closer. "Think you can get home to heal yourself?"
