Cobalt continued to groom the mare where he was.

Gypsy flicked an ear back at Shadow, doing her best to ignore him. The filly flicked her tail, a highly questionable heat scent. It was light, very light.

Shadow lifted his head and his ears perked straight up. There it was. That lovely scent that often came from mares. Wasn't the little yearling a bit to young to be in heat, or close to being in heat? He nickered to her, hoping she might look at him.

Gypsy flicked her ears back at him, not wanting to listen. She had enough listening for one day. The flaxen filly continued on her way, determined.

(It's like a switch. Shadow takes his daughter, Indian takes his sister. C: )
April followed Shadow's scent until, finally, she saw the dark shape of a stallion against the horizon, "Shadow!Shadow!" She nickered eagerly, galloping towards the horse that she thought was her twin brother.

Shadow sighed and decided to stop soon. The yearling's scent was easily distinguished, and he was certain he would find her after he rested briefly. Give her space for now, but you will have her. He vowed to himself.

Indian heard the whinny of a horse. A mare. He whinnied back, rearing up to get a better view of her. A lively chestnut.

Gypsy almost hesitated, hearing the hoof beats stop, but kept going, flicking her ever so lightly scented tail. She was determined and done with stallions and mares for the day.

April heard the reply and sped up, eager to see her brother. But when she crested the small hill, the form of the stallion was not Shadow's dark skin, but instead a lighter shade. She froze in terror. Why did he smell of her twin? Was Shadow hurt?

Shadow grazed briefly, then lay down to sleep.

Gypsy continued to wander off. Though not far. The filly snorted and trotted over to Shadow, laying down next no him, lonely and lost. She flicked her tail softly, laying her head down in front of Shadow.

Indian looked at April, nickering softly to her. Another mare? Great!
