Lord Derrian (M) + Khimera (F)
How can I, a lowly serf, love a lord from another manor, who treats me like royalty?
And how can I, a lord, a noble, cease to stop loving somebody who is so precious?
Truth is, life is never what it seems, even in times of darkness...

Khimera's POV
I was working the land on Lord Cariedan's Manor, sweating because of the hard work I had been doing and the intense heat rays from the sun. I took a glance around the familiar places I had always known, and set back to work, slowly but surely. It was my home - had been, and still would be - for the rest of my life. I was only a simple serf, who had come from a family of generations and generations of serfs. We worked the land, like many others. I was one of the few to find it unfair about this life, while others were just happy for what they had. Perhaps you may call me selfish, but I think not. Some would consider me even more selfish, if they could hear what I often wondered about - living in the manor, being one like a noble, or a lord. But those were only my dreams - I was a female, not a male. Only males could become lords and nobles, unless they died, and had no other inheritant to the manor except for their wife. But even then, why would any lord choose a serf out of all people to marry? It was this that I was thinking about when I noticed a wolf come by, a wolf of royalty, perhaps another lord. His fur pattern was like a labyrinth at first site, a distinct red and black. His eyes were the most suprising of him, a clear, sea blue. It was then to my shock that he walked up to me, and greeted me. "Greetings, my fair lady. I am here to see Lord Cariedan, and I was wondering if you could tell me where his manor was, as I often seem to forget the way with all the different places I visit." I also greeted him, and replied, "Greetings. I do know where his manor is, and it is not far away. It is to the north - if you simply keep on walking towards there, you should reach it." I did my best to keep my eyes levelled with his, for I had the strange feeling of dropping them to the ground. I heard him say, "Thank you for your assistance. Farewell." The wolf padded away in the direction which I had told him to go, and I then got back to working the land, wondering who that was, and then realizing that the wolf seemed a little... handsome.
