She gave him a weird look, "What's gotten into you? It was only a kick from the ki-" She was cut off again, this time knocking the breath out of her.

Batpaw flinched, his black pelt fluffing up like a storm cloud, his fur plastering to the ground
before he realized he was turning to look at Apricotpaw, that quiet she-cat he had always
watched from afar when he wasn't being bugged by other cats. "Ah, no, you've gotten it." He
said blankly, fur slithering back down to a smooth pelt, the tom turning to reveal his gingery
chest, sitting, brown irises flashing with curiosity into the she-cat's dazzling eyes.

The tortoiseshell she-cat, relieved by her correct answer, gave him a slight, somewhat tired and strained smiled. "Well, in case you didn't know, I'm Apricotpaw," she mewed. She had noticed the way his fur plumed up when she announced her arrival. Obviously, she had startled him. But he very seemingly relaxed, as she noticed his fur smooth back down. Glossy black that faded down into a light ginger. He had analyzing eyes that were hard to not fall into. So, averting her gaze, feeling shy suddenly, she said, "So, it's rather early for you to be up." She was genuinely surprised by it. Of course he'd retaliate her statement by noting how she was up. But that wasn't Apricotpaw's fault entirely.

Batpaw flicked his large ears, twitching his whiskers with a smirk at the she-cat moving her
beautiful eyes away from him. "Eh. I felt like something important was going to happen." He
said, then snorted in annoyance, broad head turning to give a glare to Foxtuft and Sandcloud
at the nursery, his tail sticking up like a tree in anger.

The tom grunted stubbornly, growling lowly, "I don't care what it was, you're obviously hurt."
He smiled in proof at the she-cat having her air thumped out of her chest, snorting in annoyance
as Soulpaw didn't come to his reply. I might just claw that ignorant tom's ears off. He
thought with a growl.

Soulpaw was still treckijg through the forest, sniffing around for much needed herbs.

She started to hyperventilate, obviously getting into a panic, "I-I think the kits are coming, Foxtuft!"

F O X T U F T

Foxtuft forced himself to stay calm, green eyes glittering in worry. Then he almost clawed himself
for being so mouse-brained, Mottledstone was probably a better choice than Soulpaw in the first
place! The tom picked up his mate by the scruff, dragging her into the nursery then turning and
darting out for Mottledstone. He called to the she-cat, hoping she was already awake.

The tortoiseshell grumbled, opening her eyes, about to retort to the ginger and white tom before
hearing Sandcloud. "Oh, great StarClan, it's happening now?" He hissed to herself, stiffly staggering
to her legs and making her way to the nursery with a sigh as Foxtuft followed.

The contractions started coming even harder, with shorter time periods in between them. Sandcloud gritted her teeth, trying to force down he own screeches of pain.

Mottledstone rubbed her paws against Sandcloud's belly, whispering soothing thing's to the she-
cat. "Herbs would be useful." She snorted to herself, then gently began grooming Sandcloud, and
with that, the gray calico she-cat kitted.

Sandcloud looked down at her kits, beginning to groom their short, slick and wet pelts.

The elder let out a tiny purr. "Wasn't that hard, was it?" She asked with an amused smirk.

F O X T U F T

The muscular tom stumbled outside the nursery, pacing back and forth, realizing her screeches
of pain had stopped, but no cat told him to go in. He kept tumbling around outside the entrance
waiting to see his mate and kits.

She smiled, nodding, "The pain was worth it..." Though she was happy, her eyes betrayed her words, showing that she easy exhausted.
