He fixed up the vent and crawled back, inviting Walsh to come. He fluffed out a pinkish bed he kept for Ashton incase mom forgot to pick her up. He hummed along to the lulliby and heated up some water for hot cocoa on a small burner.

Ashton:
The girl struggled against Walsh at first. However, his soft and warm fur felt like her blanket at home. The soothing rocking motions and calming lullaby also helped settling her down as well. Her eye lids felt heavy and Ashton's body began to relax. Soon enough the third grader was passed out.

He finished the hot cocoa and set it down to cool a bit as he tucked her in the warm bed. He turned on some lights and sat down on another bed.
