[Pounce the Cat]

Long ago, there was a wizard named Erik Vanderhyde. He and his family were traveling to a different town as theirs had been burned down by raiders. That wasn't the end of their misfortune. A pack of hungry wolves were prowling near their camp. They were starving and wanted the family's food. In desperation, they attacked the family. Erik's mother hid him in their carriage as they tried to fend off the wolves. Erik looked through his spell book quickly for a spell that could help. At last, he found one and with a wave of his hand, a strong, snowy breeze rushed toward the wolves and encased them in a whirl of snow and wind. When it died down, the wolves seemed to be gone, but if you looked down, you could see a single snow globe with a group of five wolves.

There was a moan and Erik turned around to see his mother dead and his father dying. He rushed over to them and dropped to his hands and knees. "Father!" He cried, tears streaming down his face.

His father grabbed his son's hand and said, "I love you..." with his last breath. Erik was found by another family and was taken in by them. He grieved for his dead family and his grief turned into pure anger. Every wolf he ever saw, he used that spell and gathered each of them. He had a room with a shelf over his bed. The shelf held a single snow globe with many wolves inside.
