What I hate with fantrolls is when they have relationships with canon characters. Well, sort of. This needs some explaining.

There are two kinds of relationships with canon characters:

When the person has roleplayed with that character and honestly believes that shipping them would make sense. This kind of thing I'm fine with. I ship my best friends fantroll with Sollux, so does she and the person who roleplays Sollux with her. Another one of my friends has a fantroll she ships (black) with Vriska, she's roleplayed with Vriska and this works.

But then there's the other type: Characters CREATED with the ship. If someone created a character and one of their aspects when they were created is 'Karkat is her matesprit,' then there's a problem. Even worse is when, instead of the ship being a minor aspect of them, they were entirely created for the purpose of shipping them with a canon character.

I ship one of my fantrolls with Gamzee Makara, but, it was never supposed to happen, nor was she created for the soul purpose of shipping. Me and my friend who I was roleplaying with at the time, suggested that the two would make a good ship. So, it became a ship. Simple as that. None of my fantrolls even have Matespirits currently... I almost feel bad.

Trolls that wear like all of the colours and are WAAAAY to colourful is kinda a thing that irks me tbh. Angsty OCs, non violet / fuschia seadwellers, oh god the list could go on.

Don't forget feather winged trolls and I've seen trolls who's symbol should've been this.

Shipping fannon characters with canon characters is totally ridiculous and not even POSSIBLE! If it were you'd CANONLY see everyone's fantroll on the main timeline, and, well, nope. They're not there, now, are they? Yeah no.

The roleplay where I began shipping my fantroll with Gamzee was basically a plot that had literally nothing to do with SBURB/SGRUB in the long run. It was simply a fun roleplay that we began out of boredom. The ship is not to be taken seriously, and honestly, anything can happen in roleplay. I am not going to talk about these kinds of ships any more to minimize the possibility of a quarrel.
