"Tessa!?" she almost growled as the girl came over and gave her a hug "I still don't like hugs...." she muttered, the only person she let hug her was Elijah, but that was only because they grew up together. Everyone else, she was off limits to. As she asked where Petra would be she frowned and spoke "Petra? Mare right?" she murmured and looked up to one of her Bulgarian stable hands. Elijah was Bulgarian, Anna was part, and they were both fluent in bulgarian. He'll show you where the stall is, and as well as the tack room for your horse, the feed room for your horse and the wash bays for the mares. Yes, each horse has their own tack and feed room. There is a two meter space between each stall, that is their food and tack room. Oh and the track." she smiled and began to walk off, before feeling rude "Sorry Tessa, two of my girls is getting preg tested" she murmured and looked to Elijah. "Отиди донесе Queeny за мен, моля." She told him and then went and grabbed L'amour for her preg test. She and Elijah lead both horses to their stable vet and had him check them. L'amour was pregnant with twins, so she sent her off to have one of the foals pinched as she wasn't risking twins seeing as 99% of the time, both foals or mare died. Queeny was pregnant, so that was good. She was moved to the mare and foal stable with some other pregnant mares or already with foal.

Elijah looked up and frowned at Anna, "your gonna make things difficult by speaking bulgarian? Добре съжалявам .. аз ще го говорят прекалено." he frowned at her reaction and went and grabbed Queeny bringing her to the vet.

Joanna had just payed a stud fee of $230,000 to breed her mare Mia, with Rosewood's stallion Happy Night. Though being friends, if Mia didn't fall pregnant, Anna wasn't going to charge again, anyone else and she would. Joanna smiled as she loaded the chestnut mare into the float and took her home. Gently stroking her as she unloaded her and put her in the paddock with two geldings and a gentle mare. Nothing was going to have to this mare while she might be pregnant with a two hundred and thirty thousand dollar stallion's foal. Her stallion Shadow fax, was already the son of Happy night, and was a brilliant boy. 8 wins, over 20 starts, before he was pulled out to be a stud. His stud was raised a grand last year after two of his foals had three wins in two years alone.

Tessa quickly let go and said, "Sorry Anna, I get too excited sometimes." She blushed and continued, "Dang! Every stall has its own tack room! Wow! Thanks Anna. See you later, good luck!" Tessa turned and went to Tom and said, "Come on Tom get her tack first and I get Petra."

Tessa turned to get Petra and followed the stable hand quietly to her stall. Tom was carrying her racing tack first and was walking right beside Petra.

Anna put her hand up to make sure Tessa knew she acknowledged what she had said but then continued with what she was doing. Thinking back to herself momentarily she to Sonador. Sonador was the dam of Lucky Charm, and was pregnant with Happy Nights foal. This will be Sonador's second foal with Happy night. She made her way towards the largely 11 month pregnant mare. She'd drop any day now. Sonador was growing a little wary and unsettled, so with a gentle sigh she grabbed the white lead rope and hooked it to the mares white halter and slowly led her towards the Mare and foal stable. Steadying her as she tried to go faster she hushed her, and as the vet came from the stables of the mares, she asked him to check Sonador. The vet said she was fine, just a little restless, and that she should keep an eye on her. He also said she was likely going to foal tonight. Nodding Anna lead the mare to the stables and put her in one of the bigger Mare and foal stalls, it was Sonador's special stall. Sonador and Happy night were Anna's champions. Even though several racers were not big, it did add fame to them for winning. And then the bigger events even more for winning. Of course, they were retired now, because they'd slowed down with the old age, event though they were still very young, Anna sold or put down her thoroughbreds after they were 15, she also stopped breeding them after they turned 13 so they still had quite a while to go.

-time skip to 9.30pm-

As Elijah came running in saying that 'it's started' Anna bounced up and pulled her boots on, she grabbed a few blankets and towels and ran outside and got into the car. Elijah then started the car and drove up the driveway past the house, past the mare stable, past the gelding stable and then stopping at the mare and foal. Anna bounced out of the Ute and ran to the stall where Sonador was laying on her side. The vet was there keeping an eye on her because her pulse was going to high. It was about 10pm when Sonador gave birth. Anna used the towel to clean the tired mares foal, The vet said Sonador had been like this since 6pm when Anna went in, it was the longest time Sonador had been in labour. Sonador soon stood, and seemed fine, happily licking the foal. Most foals were named before they were born as most people had a gender test done and then worked out their name. So this was RW Raven wing. RW meant Rosewood, meaning her stud.

As she left the stall and leant on the door she smiled at the colt as he tried to stand with a minor amount of help from his mother. Within time, his thirst for milk got him up, and he was walking, barely, and just a few steps but he found his mothers hip and began to nurse.

Tessa just finished helping Tom get the tack into the tack room and over heard Anna and the vets conversation. She walked over to Anna and said, "I could help you keep an eye on Sonador. My parents used to have a breeding farm and I earned a lot about pregnant mares and foaling. Maybe I could help, you know as a thank you." Tessa smiled as she offered to help.

Tessa was sleeping with Petra in her roomy stall, because she didn't want Petra to feel stressed with the moving. Anna heard the mare's cries and ran over there. She arrive minutes later to find her in labour. Tessa was surprised to see a cute little colt trying to stand and start suckling. She walked over and said to Anna & Elijah, "Congratulations! I see you have a new racing colt. He's so cute! I can't wait till I see my Petra have a foal, maybe during off season I'm going to breed her." Tessa smiled and watched the mare and colt together.

Tessa kept watching the cute little foal and laughed, "He reminds me of when Petra was a young filly, she swayed around and walked unsteadily for the first time to nurse. Petra walked very awkwardly trying to learn to use her legs." Tessa smiled at Anna and Elijah. "I can watch him for you until morning to make sure he is okay. Petra has settled in already. I had too much coffee in the afternoon so I'm full of energy! Don't worry, I'll call you if something is wrong, which is unlikely since he is such a healthy foal." Tessa offered and looked at Anna.

Anna frowned and watched him, "He's got a funny leg..." she sighed, watching him lift his leg and kick it out awkwardly, "If he's not better by tomorrow night you can put him down" she spoke. It sounded cruel, but in reality, she already had enough horses, and they all earnt their keep by breeding, being a stud, or racing. She wasn't going to keep a horse who couldn't give something back. She sighed and looked to Tessa shaking her head. "no, you should be getting some sleep, I have stable hands to do that for me. If you plan to help your jockey train Petra, you need your sleep" She was almost demanding, But Anna didn't have time for friends and affections. None of her horses were ready for any race, they'd all had winter off what with the snow. And two of her main racers injured themselves and only just came back in. She needed her mind on the racers, and as much as it seemed rude, Tessa needed to do the same thing. As she mentinoed breeding Petra she shrugged. "You can consider breeding her with Happy night, remember him? He's the sire of this colt, it's Sonador's second foal with him. You can see her first colt tomorrow morning if your up early. but otherwise, go get some rest" she murmured softly and made her way to the house, Waiting for Tessa and Tom so she could show them their rooms.

Tessa frowned and said, "I see. His leg is funny. I'll come check on him early in the morning before I take Petra for our daily outdoor ride around 7 a.m. I hope you don't mind, but thats how I keep Petra fit and healthy during the off season. I'm starting her training after a few days, Tom hurt his wrist from riding someone else's horse that spooked during the test run." Tessa sighed and continued, "Sure I would love that. Maybe the next off season, how much is his stud fee?" Tessa called for Tom who was taking a leisure walk around the stud. Tessa followed Anna to see their rooms.

Tom ran over to Tessa and smiled at Anna. "So is it time to see our rooms? I can't wait to take a shower and sleep. I'm going to go for lunch with my fellow jockey friends as well as to go see my family tomorrow. If you don't mind, do you need me tomorrow Tessa?" Tom asked.

He smiled as Tessa agreed that he should have a day for himself after having him work at her stable for so long with no break.
