"What?" Clifftail responded, pretending like he hadn't heard.

Herringpaw mournfully shoo hi head before continuing on his way back, his stomach aching, both from hunger and a stomach ache.

Salmonfall's eyes widened, "Oh my! Where is Tidestar? Quick alert the cats! Oh no... There's no deputy. Righty, I forgot! Uhmmmm..." Her tail began to lash hurriedly, her eyes showing worriness.

"You said something," Seabreeze replied. "What was it?"

"Herringpaw!" Beechpaw yelled in a mixture of desperation and anger. "Come back here now!"

Mapleshadow jerked her body to the left and felt most of her belly fur untangle from the rough bark. "Thanks." She nodded at Ripplestripe. She carefully pushed herself up, trying to keep her belly from rubbing up against the trunk of the tree again.

"It's okay, we just need to calm down." Cornfur said assuringly, although his own eyes were wide and panicked. "We need to get the clan to higher ground. We should get the warriors together to take the queens and kits somewhere safe."

Ripplestripe stayed behind her at all times to make sure she didn't get stuck again. The water was quickly rising, but he did his best to ignore this as he climbed higher and higher.

Herringpaw hoped she would follow as he forced himself to ignore her and keep on going.

Salmonfall nodded. "You get the warriors, I'll get the nursery." She started towards the cozy den and stuck her head in. "Quick! Move to higher ground, a flood is coming!" She announced.

Foxtalon felt Tidestar stir a bit and he blinked open his eyes with a wide yawn.

Mapleshadow scooted up the tree best she could, aware that Ripplestripe was behind her. She managed to hop onto a sturdy looking branch a ways up, and walked forward a little in order to make room for Ripplestripe. She gazed down at the forest floor, alarmed at the rate that the water was rising.

Cornfur nodded at the she-cat and raed towards the warriors den. Sticking his head in, he gazed at all of his clan mates sleeping peacefully. "Wake up! A flood is coming! We need to get the queens and kits to higher ground! Get a apprentice and go help the elders and queens!" He yowled.

Ripplestripe made it to the branch in little to no time and was soon perched beside her. "We should be safe up here," he concluded. "For now, at least."

"Hnnnng..." Copperberry shifted slightly but only half-opened her eyes. "What is it...?"

Seabreeze's ears pricked with alarm and he was on his paws in an instant. "Up, up!" he exclaimed to his Clanmates before dashing out of the warriors' den and rushing to the nursery.
